Recently, many friends have asked me how to maintain potted geraniums. Here, I will introduce to you my experience in maintaining potted geraniums:

1. Potted soil. Potted geraniums can be cultivated with humus soil, peat soil plus 1pm 5 river sand and a small amount of cake fat as base fertilizer. It can also be used for composting soil, humus soil, garden soil and river sand 1 to 4, plus a small amount of bone meal. Cultivate the soil.

2, light and temperature. Sexual sunshine and cool, afraid of heat and heat, therefore, autumn, winter and spring should be placed in direct sunlight. In the hot summer, when the temperature exceeds 35 degrees, enter the semi-dormant state, should stop fertilization to control watering. From summer onwards, move the flowerpot to a cool and ventilated place or to the north windowsill and balcony, and always spray water to cool.

3. Water it. More fertile, slightly dry, but afraid of phlegm. Therefore, it is recommended to apply nitrogen fertilizer and combined application of nitrogen and phosphorus every half a month in spring and autumn during the peak season. It is usually watered to keep the soil moist and do not avoid water in the basin. Otherwise, it will lead to rotting roots and even plant death.

In mid-October and mid-October, the northern area enters the room before the early frost and has no cold resistance. In winter, the amount of water is determined according to the temperature of room temperature. If the room temperature can only be maintained at 6-8 degrees, it is better to strictly control watering and keep the soil slightly moist; if the room temperature can be kept above 12 degrees, watering should be more appropriate, which should be applied every half a month-a good kind of thin liquid fertilizer, in fact, continues to grow. Some varieties can continue to bloom.

4. Change the basin. Geraniums grow rapidly and it is recommended to change the soil after autumn. I left the room at the end of April. Watering in spring should not be too much, otherwise it is easy to cause plants to grow long or yellow leaves, affecting flowering.
