In the past, figs were mainly planted by individuals, but in recent years, with the promotion of the Internet and the expansion of the market, figs have a unique taste and are sought after by more and more people. Now it is widely planted and popularized in all parts of the country. Among the common diseases of figs, the harm of root rot is relatively serious, and the whole plant dies when the root system is destroyed seriously, so I intend to focus on the prevention and control methods of root rot.

I. the cause of the disease

After a large amount of rain in the rainy season, the drainage is not timely, the low-lying terrain causes stagnant water, after water stains, the roots can not breathe, do not have enough oxygen, stop growing, there are rotten roots, and the bacteria take advantage of the opportunity. Or the new root system has weak growth potential, no disease resistance, and is easy to be invaded. Due to the high temperature in summer, the plant nutrient loss and resistance decreased, and the bacteria were easy to invade. Winter is mainly in the root soil overwintering, year after year harm.

Symptoms and symptoms

At first, it harmed the young fig, first infected part of the root hair, then the whole root system, and finally spread the damage to the main root. The damaged root system showed dark brown or black rot, and when the root system was damaged, there was no change in the aboveground part of the plant. When the main root was damaged, the leaves of the plant began to turn yellow, wither and fall off, and the pulp of the fruit was separated, and the whole plant died in serious cases.

III. Prevention and control measures

Clear the garden in winter, pull out the diseased plants in time, take them out of the field, burn them or bury them deeply, so as to prevent the pathogens from continuing to endanger in the coming year. Trim the less harmful roots to cultivate the soil, clean up the ditches and prevent blockage.

At the initial stage of the disease, 40% carbendazim wettable powder was sprayed twice a week for three times. Spread quicklime or lime solution to disinfect fig seedbeds and planting pits. The fig plant can be soaked in carbendazim for two hours before cutting. The medicine solution was used to soak and disinfect the base of branches and ears, and then cut it. 40% formasone was sprayed during the seedling period. After the colonized seedlings were infected, the corresponding insecticides such as methyl fumarate, copper methyl cream and Bacillus subtilis could be added to the solution of naphthalene acetic acid, and the fig plant could be irrigated once a week. The root system can be basically cured by watering the root system for several weeks.

There are many fig diseases, but common and harmful diseases must use root rot, the above main content is about the causes and control methods of fig root rot, I hope these can give you some help.
