Grass carp, also known as carp and black herring, is one of the four major domestic fish cultured in freshwater in China. It is distributed in various areas of our country and is a very common edible fish in the market. The temperature is higher in summer. What's the difference between it and normal farming? How to raise grass carp in summer? Presumably this is also a problem that many people want to know, so today the editor has brought you an introduction to the summer culture and management techniques of grass carp. Let's take a look.

1. Cleaning of fish ponds

In fact, whether it is summer culture or spring culture, or other times of farming, we need to clean up the fish ponds. First of all, we have to dig out the mud in the pond. generally speaking, the branches at the bottom of the pond retain about 15 cm thick silt, and the rest have to be cleared out. Secondly, while cleaning up the mud, we also need to evenly sprinkle a layer of quicklime into the pond, the amount of quicklime per mu is controlled at about 75 kg, which can completely eliminate the harmful bacteria in the pond. After disinfection, drain the water from the pond, and then re-inject new water.

2. Scientific stocking

In summer, we usually have to choose fish fry nearby, otherwise the mortality rate of stocking will be very high. At the same time, the fish fry purchased can not be immediately put into the pond, but also need to be washed and disinfected by drugs, which can avoid bacterial infection and improve the survival rate of fish fry. When stocking, it is necessary to control the density of fish fry, usually 800 to 1000 fry per mu. If there is an aerator, it can be closed properly, but the number of breeding should be controlled at about 2,000 to 3,000 tails as far as possible.

3. Reasonable feeding

Grass carp feeding is mainly forage, then what we need to do is to ensure the freshness of the feed, but also need to ensure the quality of the feed, there can be no residual drug damage or other diseases, which will affect the normal growth of grass carp. When feeding, it is necessary to achieve regular, quantitative and qualitative feeding according to the change of weather, the change of water quality and the feeding of grass carp.

4. Prevention of high temperature

The temperature in summer is higher, which actually has a certain impact on the growth of grass carp, especially if the increase in water temperature is serious, it will lead to high temperature harm, and the mortality rate of grass carp is also relatively high, so we should be prepared to prevent high temperature in time. In general, the water temperature of grass carp culture is best controlled between 15 and 25 degrees. But the summer water temperature is indeed higher than this temperature, so we need to raise the water level to lower the temperature of the lower water level, to provide a good living environment for grass carp. In addition, we can build a sunshade net, which can also reduce the water temperature.

5. Points for attention

The most important thing for cultivating grass carp in summer is to prevent high temperature. On the last point, the small and medium-sized editor has given you a brief introduction. Secondly, in the culture pond, it is best not to plant water peanuts, water chestnuts and other aquatic plants, which is also harmful to the growth of grass carp, because grass carp will eat these plants. In addition, we must be prepared to increase oxygen in summer, because the temperature in summer is high, so the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water is very low, and it is easy to die from hypoxia. Finally, we should do a good job in the prevention and control of all kinds of fish diseases, so as not to affect the yield and quality of grass carp.

In fact, one of the biggest differences between grass carp farming in summer and other times is temperature management. The rest of the water quality management, water and fertilizer management, feeding management are basically the same, so we can also refer to the usual grass carp culture techniques when breeding.
