Golden fruit, also known as milk eggplant, five-finger eggplant, it is a very unique fruit, in China's market is still very rare. At present, it is mainly distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan and other places in China. Because the fruit of Huang is very beautiful, it is often planted as an ornamental plant. Today, we are mainly here to understand the breeding methods of golden fruit, as well as the planting conditions of golden fruit and its planting precautions. Let's take a look at the wonderful content below.

1. Planting conditions

Golden fruit has the characteristics of warmth, fertility, sunshine, cold tolerance, fear of stagnant water, waterlogging, drought tolerance and so on. When planting golden fruit, we will choose sandy loam with sufficient soil fertility, good drainage, sufficient light, good ventilation and good soil permeability. In addition, the temperature of the golden fruit should be kept between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius, while the temperature of the golden fruit should preferably be 20 to 35 degrees, and the lowest enemy temperature should not be lower than 12 to 15 degrees.

2. Seed propagation

There are two ways to reproduce golden fruit. The first one is seed propagation. Due to the difference in climate between the north and the south of China, the seed sowing time of golden fruit is generally in March in the south and April in the north. Sowing is usually carried out by strip sowing, and the distance between each strip is usually 20 to 30 centimeters, and each shallow trench is 10 centimeters wide and one centimeter deep. Sow the seeds evenly, then cover the seeds with a layer of fine soil with a thickness of two centimeters, and water the base water once. In the golden fruit seedlings unearthed during the seedling period, we have to shade, wait until the later growth, in the shade will be removed. Once again, we should also pay attention to the management of water and fertilizer, and wait until the golden fruit seedlings grow to about 15 to 18 centimeters before transplanting.

3. Cuttage propagation

Another way of propagation of golden fruit is cutting propagation, which is also a commonly used method for large-scale planting and production at present. The cuttage propagation of golden fruit is generally carried out in summer every year, and the tender branches at the top of the golden fruit without diseases and insect pests need to be selected as cuttings. The cuttings should be cut into twigs of about 15 cm, and then the selected cuttings should be inserted into the sand bed according to the row spacing of 20 cm and the plant spacing of 5 cm. About 20 days after cutting, the cutting branches will grow new roots, and a month or so after cutting, a single robust seedling will be formed, and then it can be transplanted.

There are two ways to propagate Golden Fruit, namely seed propagation and cutting propagation. Although seed propagation is still commonly used, the speed of seed reproduction is slow and uncertain, while the growth rate of cutting propagation is fast and its heredity is relatively stable, so this is the reason why cutting technology is becoming more and more popular.
