In response to the African classical swine fever crisis, the Central disaster response Center requires that food waste pig farms must be equipped with cooking equipment. At present, the number of food waste pig farms has been sharply reduced from 1981 to 744. However, the daily output of cooked kitchen leftovers in the country is about 2000 metric tons, and the removal of kitchen waste has become a difficult problem. The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) said at a press conference today (16) that it has approved 1,024.76 million yuan to subsidize local government kitchen waste equipment for composting and further move towards biomass power generation in the future.
A large part of the domestic cooking surplus comes from household kitchen waste recovered by cleaning teams. Li Jianyu, chief of the Environmental Protection Agency's environmental inspector team, estimates that every household's kitchen waste disposal machine costs an average of 100 yuan a month, so it can be disposed of at home without chasing garbage trucks. Fertilizer can also be used to grow cauliflower and vegetables to achieve recycling. "just like buying an environmental cup, some people choose to pay more for the environment, depending on how people view the value of the environment."
