1. Rational drainage and irrigation

2. Scientific fertilization

In the process of planting broad bean, fertilization is a very important step in field management. The general principle of applying fertilizer to broad bean is to apply appropriate amount of nitrogen fertilizer, increase phosphorus fertilizer, potassium fertilizer and supplement micro-fertilizer. In the seedling stage of broad bean, we mainly use nitrogen fertilizer to promote the growth of the plant as a whole and promote flowering. When broad bean enters the flowering stage, we mainly use ternary compound fertilizer for topdressing, and we also need to use a small amount of nitrogen fertilizer. At the time of broad bean pod, we mainly use compound fertilizer, and appropriately increase the application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. Finally, the foliar fertilizer is sprayed in time after each harvest.

3. Pruning and topping

In order to ensure the high yield and high quality of broad bean, proper branch and leaf finishing and topping are very necessary. The main stem of broad bean does not bear pods, and even if the yield of pods is not high, then if we want to produce high yield of broad bean, we must promote the growth of branches. In general, we will carry out coring and topping treatment, that is, we will remove the heart leaves on the main stem, promote the growth of lateral branches, and so on when the lateral branches grow to a certain length, they will be coring again until the complete plant shape is formed. Secondly, in order to maintain the reasonable permeability in the field, the side branches which are too dense or do not grow well should be thinned properly.

4. weeding at the right time

Now there is a very simple way to weed broad beans, that is, after broad beans are sown, but before sprouting, use special herbicides for field crops to weed, at this time the weed control effect is very good. When broad bean emergence, we can not use chemicals to weed, so we can only carry out mid-tillage weeding, which can also properly ventilate the soil, improve the conversion rate of nutrients, and promote the growth of broad bean.
