Black moorhen is a bird of the family Crake, generally living in bushes, bulrush, reed and water places. It mainly feeds on aquatic plants, small fish, shrimps and aquatic insects. It is widely distributed all over the world and is a species without survival crisis. In recent years, the artificial breeding project of moorhen is very hot, so breeding moorhen first needs to build farms, and how to build moorhen farms? Let's take a look at it together.

1. Selection of breeding base

Before building a moorhen breeding base, we first choose an address where the moorhen is raised. Then we need to have a general understanding of the life habits of black moorhen, and then we can make an accurate choice. Usually, we choose a relatively remote, quiet area. Secondly, there must be rivers in this area, or rich in water resources and pollution-free, and rich in nearby land resources and vast grasslands. Of course, the problem to be considered is that the transportation and electricity of the farm should be convenient, otherwise it is difficult to ensure the normal operation of the breeding.

2. Planning of breeding base

The general planning of the breeding base should be decided according to the number of black water chickens bred. If it was just a breeding, the scale of the breeding base did not need to be particularly large. As long as it was just right, it would be almost the same. After the normal operation, the scale would slowly expand. The overall planning of the breeding base is divided into rest area, entertainment area, stocking area and incubation area. It is best to sit north facing south in orientation, so that the farm is warm in winter and cool in summer, and it will be relatively simple in management.

3. Internal layout of the base

The internal layout of the breeding base needs to be carefully planned. First of all, we have to consider the problem of chicken coops. Chicken coops are generally divided into columns according to about 100 raised in each column. Each column needs to be separated by walls or wooden fences, iron fences, fences, etc., followed by reasonable allocation of commodity chickens, breeders, and chicks. Vents should be set up in the farm, or doors and windows should be opened, but doors and windows should be fenced to prevent black moorhen from escaping. There is to be a chicken pen between the width of about one meter five pedestrian walkway. Then the pool in the breeding base should be equipped with water inlet and drain to facilitate water change; of course, we can also set up a sand bath, so that black moorhen can be dewormed. The last thing to pay attention to is that fences should be prepared around the farm to prevent escape. If conditions permit, it is best to do a good job of air fencing.

4, breeding equipment configuration

The equipment in the breeding base was actually very simple. There weren't many things. First of all, we consider the chicken breeding problem, which requires temperature control equipment; secondly, considering the ventilation problem, then the ventilator has become a necessity; then when raising, it needs to be equipped with feeding tanks or feed containers, drinking fountains, etc.; there is also a need for egg production equipment and incubation equipment; finally, for disease prevention, so it is necessary to prepare vaccine injection agents and equipment.

In fact, the main problem in the construction of the moorhen breeding base lies in the pool, because it is inseparable from water and cannot be raised in drought like other creatures. If there is no water, it is very difficult for moorhen to survive.
