Pea is a common seasonal vegetable in our life, which is usually sold only in a fixed season. Its tender pods, seeds and its tender seedlings and buds are edible, it can be said that it is not only a kind of legume vegetable, but also a kind of sprout vegetable. Peas are very adaptable to the environment and can be planted all over our country, so today let's take a look at how peas are managed in the field.

1. Ploughing and weeding

The growth rate of pea seedlings is relatively slow, it is necessary to carry out timely ploughing and weeding, so as to avoid the sharp growth of weeds, resulting in grass famine and affecting the normal yield of peas. In the process of pea growth, it is generally necessary to carry out three times of intermediate ploughing and weeding. The first intertillage is shortly after the emergence of the seedlings, which is about the time when the good seedlings grow to about ten centimeters. The second intertillage is usually when the pea seedlings grow to about 25 cm, while the third intertillage can be carried out as long as before flowering, mainly according to the growth of pea seedlings and the growth of weeds.

2. Pick the heart to set up the frame

When the pea seedling grows to about 30 cm, in order to make the pea seedling produce more lateral branches and increase the yield of pea, it is necessary to top the pea seedling and remove the heart leaves to promote the growth of the lateral branches. and then promote the growth of lower branches until the pea seedlings form a complete plant shape, and finally topping to inhibit the continued growth of pea seedlings. And build a bracket when picking the heart, it is best to build a scaffold for each plant, and the stent is connected with string to help the seedlings climb and grow on the stent, so as to increase the yield of pea.

3. Watering and drainage

In the process of pea growth, if the soil is dry and there is no water in the dry weather, it should be watered in time to prevent the pea plant from dying due to lack of water, especially in the flowering and podding stage of pea. If the water supply is insufficient, it has a great impact on yield and quality. no, no, no. However, if there is cloudy and rainy weather, or continuous rainfall, then we should dredge the ditch in the field in time for drainage, and at the same time, we should observe that there are potholes in the field and try to discharge the stagnant water in the field.

4. Rational fertilization

Pea has a strong nitrogen fixation, in the case of normal use of base fertilizer and sufficient soil fertility, but high content in the soil, it does not need topdressing nitrogen fertilizer. However, the growth of pea has a high demand for phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. generally speaking, we mainly supplement the demand for phosphorus and potassium fertilizer of pea, promote the growth of pea and improve the podding rate of pea. In the flowering and podding stage of pea, foliar fertilizer and vegetable fruit Zhuangtiling should be sprayed properly, which can enhance the success rate of pollination and improve the pod setting rate of pea.

5. Thinning flowers and leaves

In the flowering stage of pea, especially in the flowering stage, some flowers need to be removed properly, otherwise the pollination rate and pod setting rate of pea will be affected, especially because of lack of nutrition, resulting in serious flower and pod drop in the later stage. In addition, the branches and leaves of pea seedlings will become thicker and thicker in the later stage of growth. in order to carry out full photosynthesis and maintain good ventilation, some branches and leaves of peas need to be removed properly.

The Tianguan management of pea cultivation generally does the above work well, so the peas planted are usually of high yield and high quality. Of course, another thing to pay attention to is to do a good job in the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests.
