reproductive mode

1. Sexual reproduction

Sowing seedlings, rapid reproduction, developed roots, strong seedlings, but large variability, is a good material for seed selection. The seeds should be uniform in size, full in grain and brown in luster. Before sowing, seeds should be sunned, soaked in warm water at 30℃ for 12~24h, soaked in concentrated sulfuric acid for 5min, washed with water and dried before sowing. The lowest temperature for seed germination was 8~12℃, and the optimum temperature was 20~25℃. The planting was carried out in May, but the seed reproduction variation was large and the seed price was high.

2. Asexual reproduction

Lavender is mainly propagated by cuttings, which can keep the excellent quality of female parent. Cuttage adaptability is strong, spring, autumn can be carried out. Generally, the terminal buds of healthy plants without diseases and insect pests (about 5~10 cm) or tender branches without lignification are selected for cuttage. The leaves of the bottom 2 nodes are removed during cuttage, and then soaked in 100 times solution of "root sun" rooting agent. After treatment, the roots will be rooted in the soil for about 2~3 weeks. The medium of cuttage can be mixed evenly with river sand and ellipse bran according to the ratio of 2:1, and put into a 5×10 hole plate for cuttage. After cutting, put the seedlings in a ventilated and cool environment, keep the soil moist for the first 3 days, and then depend on the weather to ensure that the branches do not wrinkle and dry, and improve the survival rate. Cuttage management is more convenient, the entire seedling stage do not need fertilization, production on the use of more.

habits

Lavender is highly adaptable. Adult plants are resistant to both low temperature and high temperature, and can withstand high temperature of about 40℃ in harvest season. Huanglong area of Shaanxi Province,

Lavender plants overwintering safely at-21℃ in the open field; in ** area, buried soil treatment and snow cover can withstand-37℃. Seedlings can tolerate low temperature of-10℃. During the growth and development process of lavender in the next year, the average temperature is about 8℃, and it takes 10~15 days to start germination; the average temperature is 12~15℃, and it takes 20 days for the branches to start to return to green; the average temperature is 16~18℃, and it takes 25~30 days to start budding; the average temperature is 20~22℃, and it begins to flower; the average temperature is 26~32℃, and it is the fruiting period.

Lavender distribution range

They were cultivated in Beijing, Shanghai, Yunnan, Henan and other regions. Among them, Yili was successfully introduced and cultivated with its unique geographical and natural conditions and historical factors, and could produce high yield and quality essential oils. Yili is now the capital of lavender in China and is currently the largest lavender producing area in China.

According to data reports, in Beijing, Kunming, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Nanjing, Chengdu, Taiwan and other places, nearly 31 provinces (cities) and autonomous regions are introducing lavender, lavender planting area in southern China is unprecedented expansion.
