First, how to grow strawberries

1. Planting methods of strawberry seeds.

(1.1) seed soaking

We all know that seeds are soaked before sowing, because seed soaking can improve the germination rate. Strawberry seeds are not listed, we need to soak the strawberry seeds in a water cup for 24 hours, then take them out and store them in the refrigerator for 15 days at a temperature of about 0-3 ℃. And then sow the seeds.

(1.2) sowing

As strawberry seeds are relatively small, special attention should be paid to them when sowing. It is best to choose sandy loam mixed with humus soil (the soil must be fine, otherwise strawberries are difficult to sprout), and then sprinkle the right amount of water.

(1.3) emergence

Be sure to soak all the soil before planting, and change some fine soil after sowing, not too thick, a thin layer, or no soil cover directly. When the temperature is controlled at 25 ℃, seedlings can begin to emerge 15-25 days after sowing.

Strawberry seedlings can be transplanted into the field when they grow up.

2. Potted planting methods of strawberry seeds.

(2.1) selecting basin

There are many kinds of strawberry flowerpots, just choose the right one, if you plant more, it is suitable to choose a larger flowerpot.

(2.2) budding

Soak the seeds in gauze (or wet paper towels) for 24 hours and refrigerate them in the low temperature area of the refrigerator. After about half a month, the seeds should be germinated successfully.

(2.3) sowing

Sowing must be very careful, select seedling soil seedling plate for sowing, with fine sandy loam mixed with fine humus soil for breeding.

(2.4) transplanting

When strawberry seedlings grow for 3-4 months, and their young seedlings also have many tender leaves and creeping stems, strawberries can be transplanted into larger flowerpots.

(2.5) Culture matters

In the following days, pay attention to watering, keep enough light, strawberries can grow quickly.

2. It is appropriate to plant several strawberries in one flowerpot

If it is potted strawberries, it is most suitable to plant 2-3 seedlings in a flowerpot. Sometimes accidents occur, resulting in the death of one of the plants, so the other two can be used as backup. This is also safer and will not lead to no strawberries in the back. Potted strawberries are also easier to grow and breed. As long as the management is done in the later stage, there is no problem with red strawberries, and it is also very suitable for housewives.

When is the best time to plant strawberries

The best time to plant strawberries is around early September. But now strawberry can be planted in spring, summer, autumn and winter, because it belongs to perennial plants.

IV. Strawberry planting methods

1. Select basin, soil and variety.

Potted potted ceramic pots are mainly used. The basin soil is selected with high humus content. Varieties can choose European four Seasons Red, Changhong No. 2, 83-38 and other excellent four Seasons Strawberry varieties pot is better. It can blossom and bear fruit many times throughout the year.

3. Cultivation techniques.

Potted plants can be planted all the year round. But from the garden seedlings on the pot, it is best to carry out in autumn. Choose strong seedlings, take more soil when you start the seedlings, remove the old residual leaves, and cut the roots of the seedlings to about 10 cm. Let the roots stretch and plant in the potted soil. The depth of planting is based on the principle of not showing roots and not paying attention to it. The soil should be solid, fixed seedling position, so that the soil surface and basin mouth to maintain a distance of 3-4 cm. Water thoroughly after planting, leave it in the shade for 3-5 days, then move to a place with plenty of light.

4. Fertilizer and water management

Strawberries of the four seasons blossom and bear fruit many times a year, and the nutrition consumption is high, so it is necessary to strengthen the nutrient supplement. Can be used animal hoofs, fish bones, poultry viscera, bean cake, etc., add water to mature fermentation, retting into liquid fertilizer or topdressing compound fertilizer. Usually top dressing once a week. Outdoor potted plants, watered once every morning and evening. When watering, you should warm the water in advance and reuse it, and do not use well water or tap water directly.

5. Seedling management.

Plant management of potted strawberries should be strengthened.

First, timely thinning buds, picking leaves, removing stolons. The high-level flowers that are about to be ineffective should be properly thinned in the bud dispersion period. Old leaves, residual leaves, diseased leaves and excess stolons were removed to reduce nutrient consumption and improve fruit quality.

The second is fruit shaping. That is, the fruit racks of different shapes are made with iron wire or bamboo sticks and put into flowerpots to make the ears ventilated and transparent, the fruit coloring evenly, prevent the soil from polluting the fruit and reduce the harm of diseases and insect pests. At the same time, stolons can also be used for artistic modeling to improve the ornamental value.

Third, corresponding comprehensive control measures should be adopted for the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests.

6. Change the basin

In general, strawberry potted plants need to be changed in time after two years of planting. When changing the basin, the strawberry plant is now out of the basin, and some old parts, as well as dead roots, dead stems, and dead leaves are detected, and then replaced into the new pot soil.

7. Temperature and humidity

The temperature of potted strawberries should be controlled at 20-25 ℃ and the room temperature above 15 ℃ in winter. Potted strawberries should be placed in the vents and sunny places, and the potted soil should always be kept moist.

8. Care of strawberries

If strawberries start to turn red, you need to be careful not to let birds peck at them, because birds can easily find red things. At this time, we can connect a net to the strawberries, or cover the strawberries with a wooden basket. If you have a greenhouse at home, you can move the strawberries to the greenhouse, which will be better. Strawberries are also easier to bear fruit. As soon as the fruiting period of strawberries is over, move out of the greenhouse and leave them outside for the winter. In a way, if strawberry plants are subjected to some frost, it will be more beneficial to increase yield in the coming year.
