The Council of Agriculture promotes organic and friendly farming policies and takes root in Meinung! In order to promote the "fertilizer reduction plan," the Meinong District Farmers Association of Kaohsiung City introduced a plant doctor counseling system before the establishment of the whole Taiwan in 2016. Three years later, it has taken a crucial second step, transforming the 40-year-old warehouse into a "green agricultural material center", collecting hundreds of natural materials specifically for organic or friendly agricultural methods, so that farmers who want to "reduce drugs" and "lose weight" no longer have to struggle to find non-chemical pesticides or fertilizers everywhere.

In addition, Meinung has implemented the plant doctor measures for three years, and has further established a "plant clinic" in the "Green Agricultural Materials Center." In the future, farmers with any problems of pests and diseases will be able to bring crop samples to the clinic, and the plant doctor will immediately diagnose and prescribe prescriptions. They will also directly buy the medicine, preparation or fertilizer recommended by the plant doctor at the "Green Agricultural Materials Center."

The green materials center, which has been converted from an old fertilizer room, has the specifications of a supermarket. It is spacious and air-conditioned. If you have any questions, you can ask the botanist on the spot. Chung Ching-hui, director general of the Meinung District Farmers Association, says: "The materials center has more than 200 ping, and the windows are very clear. It is the most expensive grocery store for Meinung farmers."

Chung Ching-hui, director general of the Meinung District Farmers Association, says that the Meinung Plain has a productive area of about 4,000 hectares. Therefore, the opening of the "Green Agricultural Materials Center" hopes to protect the natural environment through the reduction of pesticides and fertilizers. Dai Shunfa, director of the Kaohsiung District Agricultural Improvement Station, also expressed his hope that "one bottle of medicine for one place" could become a specific goal of the "Green Agricultural Materials Center."
