Taro is a kind of taro, contains a lot of starch, taste is also very good, soft waxy fragrance, loved by the majority of consumers. Although taro has strong adaptability to the environment and has been planted in many areas of our country, the main producing areas are Guangxi, Hunan and Fujian. Today, we are mainly here to learn a few problems that need to be paid attention to in the process of planting taro. Let's take a look.

1. Soil

Generally heavy clayey soil, viscous soil and sandy soil are not suitable for planting taro, because the soil permeability is very poor, taro is difficult to grow and develop in these types of soil. Therefore, we generally choose to plant in sandy loam, the soil permeability is good, drainage, water conservation, fertilizer conservation are very good. It is better to be close to the water source, so as to facilitate irrigation and drainage. When applying base fertilizer, it should be noted that farm manure that is not completely mature can not be used, otherwise seedling burning will occur, or it will be more serious.

2. Time

Taro generally sprouts when the surface temperature reaches more than 10 degrees, but in China, it is generally planted in spring. As there are certain differences in climate change between the north and the south of China, there is also a certain gap in the time for planting taro between the north and the south. As in the north of our country, it is generally planted in late April, while in the south, it can be sown in early April. The best temperature for the growth of taro is 25 to 30 degrees, so planting at this time is also very beneficial to its later growth.

3. Build a shed

Many people will not set up a shed when planting taro, which they think is superfluous, but in fact, it also has a great impact on the growth of taro, especially during the seedling growth of taro. We usually need to build a greenhouse when taro seedlings grow, and then taro seedlings are about fifteen centimeters. Secondly, when we set up the shed, we should pay attention to it. We must tie it tightly and firmly, so as to prevent the strong wind from affecting the seedlings of taro.

4. Thinning leaves

In the growth process of taro, we should pay attention to the permeability of the field to avoid the phenomenon of closeness and gloom in the field. Generally speaking, when the taro grows around July, we should properly remove some of the branches and leaves of the taro, and remove the heart leaves of the taro, which can reduce the supply of nutrients to the roots and promote the growth of underground tubers.

5. Moisture

The growth period of taro is relatively long, and if the water is managed properly, the yield is also very considerable. Especially in the middle and later stage of the growth of taro, its demand for water is relatively large, it needs to be irrigated for a long time, and the soil should not be dry, otherwise it may affect the growth of underground tubers. However, if the rainfall is too large, it is still necessary to discharge the excess water, otherwise soaking for a long time will also lead to the rot of underground tubers.

The cultivation of taro is very easy, and under normal circumstances, the yield is relatively high, but we still have a lot of points to pay attention to in the process of planting, and the above points are relatively common problems. of course, such as pest control, topdressing and so on also need to pay attention to, so if you still do not understand, remember to leave us a message.
