Second, how to raise potted water lilies?

1. Soil

It has specific requirements for soil, which means that ordinary soil can not meet it. The best soil contains a lot of humus, and we need clay loam, of course, to ensure that it is fertile. In fact, this soil is very particular, because if it is more clayey, it will affect the growth and expansion of lotus root, and if it is relatively soft, it can easily be damaged by the wind and cause root problems. So the best thing is to use the soil in the pond, or use a mixture of garden soil and loess and sand. In fact, the soil it needs is slightly alkaline, so we usually keep it at 6.5 to 7.5.

2. Lighting

The light it likes is that kind of strong light, and we need to be able to keep it under seven or eight hours of light every day, which is very good for it. For example, it can have more buds and blossom for longer. Because it loves the nature of light, we must not keep it in the shade. If you want to put it indoors, you can't put it for too long. The way to retreat and ask for a second is to breed it on the balcony. Besides, we can't let it be exposed to the hot sun at noon.

3. Temperature

This factor cannot be treated at will, because it is very strict with it. The temperature of its germination is between 8 degrees and 10 degrees, while the temperature of lotus root growth is 14 degrees. When it comes to growth, the temperature is required to be between 25 and 30. In addition, we should know that it grows faster on sunny and rainy days.

4. Fertilization

This is a necessary link. Generally speaking, the amount of basic fertilizer we give it is based on the size of the basin. A month after planting it, we need to apply liquid fertilizer to it. In addition, after it has grown leaves, we need to fertilize it once or twice. When the flower is in full bloom, we need to apply phosphoric acid to it every week.

5. Moisture

We need to add water to it every day in summer, and the quality of the water should be guaranteed. You don't have to add too much water in autumn and winter.

Why don't water lilies blossom?

1. The non-flowering of water lilies is a matter of variety.

When raising water lilies, if you want to produce beautiful flowers, you need to choose the right variety, because the flowering of some varieties is not so simple.

In the family breeding water lilies, it is best to choose rich flower types of water lilies, and then to meet a variety of growth needs, it is easier to blossom.

2. The reason for the light is that the water lilies do not bloom.

To put it simply, water lilies do not bloom because of lack of light. The necessary condition for the growth of water lilies is sufficient light, if the long-term lack of light, it will make water lilies grow luxuriantly but blossom poorly, and even will not blossom. In addition, put the water lilies in a more hidden place for a long time, but lack of ventilation, the water surface is more likely to have moss, plant growth will be relatively weak, there will be only leaves without flowering phenomenon. So when raising water lilies, you need to give them all-day sunshine.

3. Water lilies do not blossom because they are not divided for a long time.

When cultivating water lilies in pots, it is best to split every one or two years. If you do so for a long time, the roots of the water lilies in the flowerpot will become more crowded and clogged, and the root system will grow poorly, which will affect flowering. So after the water lilies have been cultivated for a period of time, it is time to split the plants.

4. Water lilies do not blossom because they are planted too much

When planting water lilies, sometimes a lot of water lilies may be planted at once, resulting in crowded pots, limited visibility, difficult root system extension, and crowded leaves, resulting in poor ventilation, affecting the normal flowering of the plant, even if the flowering is not good.

When planting water lilies, the density and quantity of water lilies must be reasonably controlled to make them beautiful and grow well.

5. Water lilies do not blossom because of excessive use of base fertilizer

In the early stage of the growth of water lilies, applying too much fertilizer, especially base fertilizer, is not conducive to its flowering. In addition, if the soil is not good when planting, the loss of nutrients will also cause the water lilies not to blossom.
