Breeding techniques of laying hens
Laying hens are one of the main breeding directions of our chicken industry, and the annual consumption of eggs in our country is very large. The main feeding direction of laying hens is to improve the laying rate and egg quality, and there is no great requirement for meat quality. There are differences between the breeding of laying hens and the breeding of ordinary chickens. So how exactly should chickens be raised? The following small series brings you the breeding technology of laying hens. Let's take a look together!
1. Breeding area
The breeding ground of laying hens shall be established far away from Urban area, traffic artery and various factories, etc. to prevent excessive noise and pollution from affecting the growth of laying hens. It is best to establish in the mountains, its air quality is good, can carry out pollution-free green breeding. The chicken house should set up a playground, a rest room and a brood room. According to the breeding scale, the area should be controlled, and disinfection should be carried out around the farm to prevent bacterial infection and cause laying hens to infect diseases. The breeding environment of laying hens is very important for their growth. If the environment is not suitable, it will reduce the laying rate of laying hens and lead to death of laying hens.
2. Brood management
We should control the time of introduction according to the different breeding areas. In the brood room, we should prepare sinks, food troughs, etc. for high temperature disinfection. When brooding, we should pay attention to controlling the breeding density, not too dense breeding, to prevent some chicks from eating enough, affecting their normal growth. And to do a good job of ventilation, improve the air quality in the chicken house. At the same time of ventilation, we should also pay attention to controlling the temperature in the chicken house. In the first week of introduction, the temperature should be controlled at about 34 degrees, and then reduced by 1-2 degrees every 7 days, and maintained at about 20 degrees.
3. Young chicken management
As with the brooding period, first of all, we should prepare the chicken coops for young chickens, each cage should not exceed 10, and the living utensils should also be prepared for disinfection. The time of group transfer should not be selected in rainy days to prevent laying hens from adapting to the environment in time. Feeding was carried out about 3 days after the transfer, and when the laying hens gradually adapted to the environment. Let the laying hens eat freely, exercise properly, and feed twice a day. It is best to train chickens to come back to feed when they hear certain sounds to enhance the growth capacity of laying hens.
4. Management of laying period
When the laying hens enter the laying period, they should open the egg container in time, and then put an appropriate amount of soft paper at the bottom, and replace it regularly according to the actual situation. Feed is placed in place twice a day. And to pick up eggs regularly, in the first egg production period, to let the laying hens form the habit of laying eggs at fixed points. Also check whether there are eggs outside the chicken house, and recover them in time to prevent damage. Clean the disinfection water trough regularly every day to reduce the pathogen base of the chicken house. And to regularly observe the laying of eggs, eating and drinking water and feces, etc., found abnormal conditions, to find out the specific situation in time, and then symptomatic treatment.
The above is a simple introduction to laying hen breeding technology, laying hen breeding is more troublesome, but the profit margin is also relatively large. Therefore, if we carry out large-scale farming, we should learn farming techniques well to prevent unnecessary losses.
