Minnesota Midget cantaloupe is a compact cantaloupe that usually grows on 91-121 cm (3-4) vines and produces 6-8 ultra-sweet, softball-sized melons. You can even plant "Minnesota Midget" in a larger container on the patio, as vines are trainable and easy to manage to the point of performing well. Delicious food for one or two.

Minnesota Midget cantaloupe is very sweet and juicy! A vine usually produces eight melons. I live on boundary 5, boundary 4, and even in summer there are extreme night and day temperature fluctuations. Our nights often drop to 50F, while the hours are as high as the 90s. I am glad that these melons are producing very well in these conditions and during the short growing season! I'll look closely at the melons and see if some of them turn yellow-orange, and tell me when they're ripe. If I don't check them every day, they can mature quickly.

This is a wonderful cantaloupe variety. Melon has excellent flavor, slightly larger than softball. The pericarp is soft and peelable.
