Xiaojiabiyu Xiaojiabiyu, Jasper was originally a name, after "Xiaojiabiyu" said the beautiful girl of a small family. In fact, Jasper, also known as Douban Green, Pepper Grass, is an evergreen succulent herb of Pepper Family. It is a small green plant especially suitable for being placed in the office, tea table, or some ancient shelves. Because its color is more elegant, it can add a touch of new ideas to the room. Today, Xiaobian will introduce Jasper breeding methods to you, which can be used for reference by friends who like it!

growth habit

Xiaojiabiyu likes cool semi-shade environment, mainly growing in spring and autumn, and is a "middle type" variety of succulent plants. Drought resistance, not cold, avoid high temperature and humidity and sun exposure, afraid of shade, but also afraid of soil water. Growth period should be given sufficient light, if too much shade, will cause loose plant shape, not compact, thin leaves,"window" transparency is poor. If the light is too strong, the leaves grow poorly, showing light reddish brown, sometimes strong direct sunlight will burn the leaves, leaving ugly spots, plants growing in the shade, leaves plump, high transparency!

Introduction to the cultivation method of Xiaojiabiyu

[Moisture]: like wet, May to September growth period to water more, hot weather should be sprayed on the leaves or water, in order to maintain greater air humidity, to maintain clear patterns and green leaves.

[Fertilization]: Fertilize once a month until winter.

[Soil]: loose, fertile and well-drained soil is required. It can be prepared by mixing river sand, mud fabric and decayed leaf soil.

[Temperature]: likes warm, growth temperature of about 25℃, winter temperature should not be lower than 5℃.

[Light]: Avoid direct sunlight and grow in semi-shade. Douban green is an indoor ornamental plant. Of course, it can be placed indoors.

[Pruning and propagation]: For newly propagated seedlings, the number of branches should be increased when the seedling height is about 10 cm. This kind of plant type is fuller and the appreciation value is higher.

The pruning of large plants is generally determined according to their growth. Short and long branches can be used as cutting materials. They are easy to root. They can be inserted in clean river sand or vermiculite, or directly inserted in sandy soil. Propagation can also be carried out by leaf insertion and plant division. Generally, the environmental temperature required for propagation is between 20-25℃. Leaf insertion needs to have petioles, erect or slightly inclined inserted in river sand. The depth of sand entry is 1/4-1/3 of petioles. The substrate is kept moist and high air humidity. Rooting and adventitious buds can be produced in 2-3 weeks. Small buds can be transplanted after a little bigger.

The above is a small series with everyone introduced Jasper breeding methods, I hope to like to raise flowers and plants friends help!
