Now greenhouse vegetable planting technology has gradually become popular in China. Greenhouse planting can effectively adjust planting temperature and is easier to manage than open field cultivation. It is a planting technique that many growers use to allow everyone to eat vegetables that do not belong to this season in various seasons. So how should vegetable greenhouses be operated specifically? The following small series brings you the planting technology of vegetable greenhouses. Let's have a look together!

1. Soil preparation and fertilization

When using greenhouse planting, the requirements for its soil are relatively large, we should ensure that the soil is sufficiently permeable and humus rich when selecting soil. The soil is then prepared, raked, deeply turned, cleared of previous crops and weeds, and applied with sufficient base fertilizer. However, because the temperature inside and outside the shed is different, the amount of fertilizer should be kept moderate to prevent excessive damage to the soil structure, and attention should be paid to the amount of nitrogen fertilizer, mainly phosphorus and potassium fertilizer.

2. Variety selection

Although most vegetables can be grown in vegetable greenhouses, there are also some varieties that are most suitable for planting. When we choose planting varieties, try to choose varieties with strong cold resistance, low light demand, like to grow in humid environment and short growth period, such as tomatoes, peppers, etc. Only by ensuring the high yield and high quality of vegetables planted in greenhouse can we meet the market demand and improve our own planting efficiency. Then build a greenhouse on the soil, the length of the greenhouse is controlled at about 70-100 meters, and then use the drip-free film as the greenhouse surface, which is convenient for temperature control.

3. Temperature and humidity control

In greenhouse planting, because the permeability of the greenhouse is relatively poor, the temperature and humidity in the greenhouse are easy to rise, which will inhibit the growth of vegetables. So we have to reasonably control the temperature and humidity in the shed. At noon and summer when the isothermal degree is high, ventilation should be done well to improve the air quality in the shed and reduce the temperature. Then according to planting varieties reasonable control of temperature, some thermophilic vegetables, its temperature should be controlled at about 30 degrees. Then pay attention to the humidity in the shed to prevent excessive humidity from causing vegetable growth to be hindered. Therefore, we must do a good job of ventilation and control the temperature and humidity in the shed.

4. Drip irrigation

The evaporation rate of water in the greenhouse is relatively slow compared with that outside the greenhouse. Especially at night, cloudy days and other low temperature weather, because the temperature is too low, so the air humidity is relatively large, if too much moisture, the impact on vegetables is very large. Therefore, when we want to water in the greenhouse, it is best to use the method of drip irrigation under the film for watering. This can improve the planting environment in the greenhouse. It can also control humidity, promote the growth of vegetables and reduce the incidence of diseases and insect pests.

Of course, we should also pay attention to the prevention and control of pests when planting in greenhouses. When we want to kill insects, we should choose insecticides reasonably. We can use insecticides containing copper and zinc, which not only have good pest control effect, but also promote the growth of vegetables.
