Hyacinths can be cultivated by water like daffodils, so how to cultivate hyacinths by water? Next, we will tell you about it.

How to cultivate hyacinth by water

1. The operation of hyacinth before hydroponics:

1. Add water to the glass bottle, but be careful that the water surface does not dip to the bottom of the seed ball.

2. Keep it with an ordinary glass or a special glass bottle of flowers. The bottle is divided into two parts, small at the top and big at the bottom

3. The glass can be lifted from the mouth of the glass by using lead wire as a tray.

4. Fill the lower part with water and put a piece of charcoal in the water to prevent the water from smelling.

5. Choose the extra-large bulb, put it five centimeters away from the mouth of the bottle, soak it in water and place it in the sun.

6. put it in the shade when the bud grows five centimeters, put it in a warm place where there is no direct sunlight after the root is fully grown, and often add water to soak the bulb. When leaves and buds grow, bask in the sun for one or two hours a day to make their leaves and pedicels strong; adjust one direction every day so that they do not grow to one side.

7. Without fertilizing, a bright and fragrant hyacinth will bloom in March or April of the following year. After the flowers fade, take out the roots, plant them in the pot soil, dig them up and hide them when the leaves are withered, and plant them again next year.

Second, put the hyacinth in a cool, dark and well-ventilated place, keep the temperature between 9 °C and 13 °C, and check once a week to see if you need to replenish water.

Third, when the flower buds grow 8cm (about 10 to 12 weeks later) from the bulb, the glass bottle is filled with roots, and the hyacinth can be moved into the greenhouse.

4. When the temperature in your home is kept between 17 °C and 20 °C, you will enjoy the process of bud growth and color development. But do not put them directly near the heat source, so that the beautiful hyacinth flowers can extend the opening time.

After flowering, you can plant the ball in your courtyard. In summer you can arrange flowers in glass bottles, while in winter you can buy a treated hyacinth and reuse it.

Points for attention of hyacinth in water culture:

When hydroponic hyacinth, we must choose the bottle whose mouth can hold the bulb, preferably the bottle in the shape of gourd, and the transparent glass bottle is the best, because in this way we can see the root of hyacinth. The amount of water in the bottle is not limited to not touching the hyacinth bulb, then cover the hyacinth with a black cloth and place it in a dark place at a temperature of 50-10 degrees. After more than 20 days, you can take out the hyacinth and put it outside to be exposed to the sun.

After the root system fully grows, the temperature should be controlled above 10 degrees, and the water should be changed every 2-3 days. The water only needs to be soaked to the root, without watering or fertilizing. After the leaves grow, it is necessary to increase the light of hyacinths, the emergence of buds can accept direct light, in the light must often change direction to prevent hyacinths from growing askew. When the temperature gradually rises to about 20 degrees, you can change the water every 3-4 days.

Hydroponic hyacinth is a relatively easy plant to raise, but we should also pay attention to hydroponic hyacinth must choose slightly smaller glassware, the bottle mouth is too large to make hyacinth bulb unstoppable. When adding water to the glass bottle, be sure to pay attention to the water temperature should not be too high, preferably below 15 degrees. The surface of the water should be about 1 centimeter from the bottom of the bulb. Don't let anyone miss the bulb.

The installed hyacinth must be covered with a black cloth and grow in a dark place, which will help the hyacinth bulb to root. Do not let it receive sunlight during the sprouting period. After the bulb takes root, the water level in the container can be lowered to the water surface that can just be touched by the root of the bulb, so that the root can fully absorb oxygen and promote the growth of the root. After the root grows and develops well, you must change and add water frequently.
