Guava, also known as guava, is a tropical fruit, deeply loved by consumers in the market, to grow it, we must first understand its seedling methods. Guava can be raised through seeds, cuttings, striping and grafting. Let's take a look at the details below.

1. Seed breeding

First of all, it is necessary to select the fully mature fruit on the mother plant with good variety and high yield, let the fertilizer after the fruit is harvested, then wash the seeds clean, remove the unfilled grains, and then sow them after drying. But its seed shell is hard and its water absorption is poor, so it is necessary to soak and accelerate seed before sowing, and then sow when its germ is exposed, so that it not only germinates neatly but also has a high germination rate. Using the method of direct seeding, the seeds are evenly sowed on the seedbed, covered with a layer of fill, covered with grass and watered through. Depending on the weather conditions, it can germinate once or twice a day for about 30-40 days, and can be transplanted when the seedlings grow 2-3 pairs of true leaves, strengthen fertilizer and water management after transplanting, and can be planted or grafted when the seedlings grow to more than 40 cm.

2. Cuttage seedling

First of all, the sturdy, pest-free and semi-lignified branches on the mother plant growing for 1-2 years were selected as cuttings, cut into 15cm segments, the base was cut into a triangular shape, and 2-3 pairs of leaves were left in the upper part. Soak the lower end of the cuttings in the rooting agent for 3-5 seconds, and then use a rod of the same thickness as the cuttings on the seedling bed according to a certain row distance from the Jack, requiring a hole depth of 3-5 cm. Then insert the treated cuttings according to the hole, press them by hand to make them closely connected, and then water them thoroughly. After the roots take root, they should be watered frequently to keep the soil moisture above 85%. At the same time, the light should be adjusted to avoid direct sunlight, and it can be transplanted after a year of cultivation.

3. Pressing and raising seedlings

Select the branches that grow for 2-3 years on the mother plant with high yield and high quality, then peel around about 50 cm from the top, about 2-3 cm wide, smear the rooting agent, and then wrap it with straw and soil. After the ring is peeled off in about two months, dense new roots will grow, and then the branches can be separated from the mother plant for pseudo-planting. When pseudo-planting, it is necessary to cut off most of the branches and leaves, leaving only a small number of branches and leaves, lest the new buds germinate too fast and the roots can not meet their nutritional needs. Proper shading is needed after pseudo-planting, water is watered 1-2 times a day, and water is controlled for 2-3 days after half a month. Thin fertilizer and water can be applied after one month to make the seedlings grow strong.
