What is tequila?

Tequila, also known as tequila, is a specialty of Mexico and is called the soul of Mexico. Tequila is a small town in Mexico. This wine is named after its origin. Tequila is sometimes called "tequila" spirits because of its special ingredients, which are made from tequila.

Tequila is the national wine of Mexico. Mexicans have a special preference for it, and they drink in a unique way and are often used for net drinking. Whenever drinking, Mexicans always pour some sea salt on the back of their hands to suck it. Then use dried chili peppers and dried lemon with wine, which is like burning oil on the fire.

Types of tequila

Blanco or Plata

Blanco and Plata, which means "white" and "silver" in Spanish, can be regarded as an unaged wine in the field of tequila and do not need to be aged in oak barrels. In this kind of tequila, some styles are even bottled directly after distillation, while others are stored in steel containers, but some wineries choose to put them in oak barrels for a short time to make the products more palatable. Just a little special is that compared with the aging standards of general wine products are the lower limit of storage time, the Blanco grade tequila is the upper limit, no more than 30 days.

Jovenabocado

Jvenabocado means "young and palatable" in Spanish, and this grade of wine is often called Oro (golden). Basically, golden tequila can be the same thing as white tequila, except that the golden version has local colors and seasonings (including wine caramel and oak quenchants, with a weight ratio of no more than 1%). Makes them look a bit like old products. In terms of classification, all of these wines belong to Mixto, although theoretically not as high-end as 100% tequila products, but in the export market, this grade of wine is still the main sales force because of its affordable price.

Reposado

Reposado means "resting" in Spanish, meaning that this grade of wine has been aged in oak barrels for a certain period of time, but not for a full year. The storage in the barrel usually makes the taste of tequila a little thicker and more complex, because the wine will absorb some of the flavor or even color of the oak barrel, and the darker the color will be over time. Reposado is aged between two months and a year, and this grade currently accounts for the largest number of local Tequila sales in Mexico, accounting for 60% of the total.
