Daffodils are loved by the majority of flower lovers because of their elegant colors and graceful leaves, so what are the types of daffodils and how to cultivate daffodils? Let's take a look at it together.

1. Introduction of daffodils:

The daffodils are covered with brown skin. Leaves narrow and long banded, long 30~80cm, wide 1.5~4cm, entire, powdery on the surface. The scape is drawn from the foliage, which is higher than the leaf surface; generally, the flowering leaves are usually 4-leaf clusters with 5 leaves, with 1-7 flowers per bulb, and more than 10 flowers per bulb; the umbels (umbels) have more than 10 flowers, and the flowers are white and fragrant; the flowering period is 1-3 months.

2. Narcissus category:

1. Trumpet daffodils:

Bulb globose, leaves flattened linear, 20-30 cm long, 1.4-1.6 m wide, grayish green, smooth. Flowers solitary, large, yellowish, ca. 5 cm in diameter; Corolla ca. as long as perianth segments. The florescence is in February or March. There are many horticultural varieties of this species, including broad and narrow leaves, with perianth white, coronal yellow or perianth coronal all yellow.

two。 Apron daffodils:

The plant is low, the leaves are ribbon-shaped, dark green, the flowers are solitary, small in shape, and the accessory crown is long and funnel-shaped. The perianth of the flower is very small and the color is pure yellow.

3. Cyclamen daffodils:

The plant is short, 2-3 flowers gather, small and pendulous or lateral; flowers yellow, perianth segments curled backward. Star Narcissus: bulb oval. The leaves are flat and linear, 30-40 cm long and 1 cm wide, pink-green. Flowers solitary, flat or slightly pendulous, 5-5.5 cm in diameter; perianth and Corolla are yellow, there are also varieties of perianth white. The florescence is in mid-April.

4. Three stamens daffodils:

The plant is short, with 1-9 flowers and only three stamens, protruding beyond the Corolla; the flowers are white, similar to cyclamen daffodils and short.

5. French daffodils:

Flowers 3-10; Corolla and perianth of the same color or different color, with fragrance.

6. Red mouth Narcissus:

Also known as red daffodils. Leaves 30 cm long, left, right, 0.8 cm wide. Flowers solitary, a few one or two, 5-6 cm in diam.; perianth white; Corolla shallow cup-shaped, yellow, margin wrinkled, reddish. Blossom in spring.

7. Lilac daffodils:

Leaves 1-3, columnar, dark green, flowers 1-2, high dish-shaped, 2.5 cm in diameter, perianth yellow, Corolla orange, with strong fragrance. Blossom in spring.

Second, daffodils culture method:

First, the water culture of daffodils in winter, temperature, light, water supply are the three elements of whether the daffodils can blossom.

1. Sufficient sunlight is required for daffodil growth, and the suitable temperature is 12-15 ℃.

2. Add clean water to the bulbous bulb in 2 and 3 places. When you first put on the basin, change the cold tap water once a day, and change it every 2-3 days before flowering.

3. It can live without pebbles and can warm water properly to promote flowers, and the water temperature should be close to body temperature.

4. It can be put indoors at night. Narcissus bulb juice is poisonous and contains Lacodine. It is used as a surgical analgesic. Smashing the bulbs can be applied to treat carbuncle.

5. If the room temperature is kept for 15 ℃, it will bloom in 28-30 days; if the room temperature is 18-20 ℃, it will blossom in 23-25 days. The room temperature in the Pearl River Delta region from mid-January to mid-February is about 16-20 ℃, so it can blossom in 20-25 days under normal circumstances.

Second, the length of florescence varies with room temperature.

The best way is to control the greenhouse scientifically. The florescence is only about 7 days at room temperature ≥ 3 ℃, 15-20 days at 8-12 ℃, 10 days at 15-20 ℃, and 1 month at 4 ℃ at room temperature. According to the temperature conditions in the Pearl River Delta region, the general florescence can be maintained for 10 days.

Third, families raising daffodils during the Spring Festival should be placed in places with plenty of sunshine, good ventilation and far away from heating and stove.

When the bud is about to be released, it should be moved to a cool place indoors to avoid direct sunlight and keep the room temperature balanced. Time to blossom. Under the condition of sufficient light and clean water supply, when the indoor temperature is 12: 15 ℃, it takes about 40 days for daffodils to blossom; the room temperature is about 18 ℃, about 30 days; when the room temperature is 20 ℃, it takes only 25 days to blossom; therefore, the soaking date of daffodils can be determined according to the need, and the beautiful daffodils can be enjoyed in time. You don't need any flower fertilizer to raise daffodils, just use clean water. In order to make the daffodils grow strong, you should get the balcony to bask in the sun during the day. If you want to postpone the florescence, you can take the method of lowering the water temperature, or pour out the basin water in the evening and add fresh water the next morning. In addition, if the full bud is not seen 10 days before the festival, the method of heating the water supply can be used to promote the flower, and the water temperature should be close to the body temperature.

The above are the classification and breeding skills of daffodils. As long as you master the conditions for daffodils conservation, you can "bloom as you like."
