Some time ago, many people asked the editor a lot of questions about the cultivation of konjac, so do you really know about konjac? In fact, konjac itself is a toxic substance, which needs to be processed to remove toxins before it can be eaten, otherwise there will be poisoning. Well, today we are mainly going to understand several necessary conditions for the cultivation of Amorphophallus. Let's take a look at what it is.

1. Temperature

If konjac wants to grow normally, the temperature must meet the conditions. If the temperature is too high or too low, it will affect the growth of konjac. In general, it is best to be between 15 and 25 degrees, that is to say, the average annual temperature should reach about 14 to 16 degrees. When the temperature is below 12 degrees, the konjac in the field will lodge, but it can still withstand a certain low temperature. It will not freeze to death until the temperature is about minus 8 degrees, and when the temperature is higher than 35 degrees, it will stop growing. If you want to increase the yield of konjac, then when the konjac tuber grows, it is best to control the temperature between 20 and 25 degrees.

2. Lighting

Amorphophallus konjac is suitable for growing in the tropics and subtropics, but this does not mean that it has a great demand for light, so we still need to properly regulate the light intensity. This is why many people use interplanting when planting konjac, because this can play a certain role in shading. Konjac is actually a kind of plant that is very afraid of direct light, so we had better build a shade or interplant to control the light at about 1/3 of the normal light.

3. Humidity

The humidity of the planting land should also be reasonable, while keeping the soil moist in the field, we should also pay attention to avoid stagnant water or excessive humidity in the field. In general, the soil moisture of the planting land is about 55% to 60%, while the humidity in the air is relatively larger, preferably about 60% to 70%. In this case, konjac can grow normally, that is to say, the annual rainfall of the planting land is about 1000 mm.

4. acidity and alkalinity

In fact, the growth of konjac does not require any acidity and alkalinity, but if we want konjac to grow well, we need to adjust the acidity and alkalinity of the soil, preferably between 6.5 and 7.5, but it can grow normally when the pH is between 5.5 and 6.5 and between 7.5 and eight. In other words, the pH of the plant should not be less than 5.5 and not higher than eight, otherwise it will not be able to grow.

The necessary conditions for the cultivation of konjac are basically these, of course, like the technology of planting konjac, which is also a necessary condition, so when we plant, we still need to constantly improve our professional level.
