American red maple to ensure its survival rate, then whether it is the preparation work or the operation method in progress, we need to pay close attention to it.

The preparatory work before the insertion of the American red maple

Mother plant cuttings: strengthen the management of water and fertilizer and diseases and insect pests of the mother plant in the field, water and fertilizer moderate, drench water every 3 days before cutting, topdressing fertilizer once a month before cuttings, an average of 40kg per mu; no diseases and insect pests, in order to obtain high quality cuttings; collect young red maple branches with semi-lignified degree before sunrise or cloudy days as cuttings, moisturizing and standby.

Treatment of cuttings: first rinse the cuttings obtained from step 4 with tap water, then use the mixture of carbendazim (50%) and methyl topiramate (50%) to prepare 500x diluent, soak the cuttings of American autumn red maple to disinfect 1Omin, in which the quality ratio of carbendazim to methyl thiophanate is 1: 1; then trim the cuttings to 4-6cm in length and retain 1-3 leaves. Then the lOmin at the l-2cm of cuttings was treated with 5-fold dilution of transplanting rooting agent, and then moisturized for 5 hours under the condition of 30 ℃ to induce cuttage wound healing.

Deep ploughing: it is best to choose sandy loam with high acidity, yellow loam and red loam. Every four sides of the seedling ground, set up a row of nearly 2 meters high bamboo poles or other material columns, the distance between each column is 2 meters, pull the iron wire between the columns for later use. The seedling should be dug deep, with a depth of 30 centimeters. After turning the ground, it is best to bask in the sun for 3-5 days before preparing the ground.

Soil treatment: after the ridges have been completely arranged, spread a layer of 1-2 cm thick yellow clay on it and spread it evenly as far as possible. Yellow soil has strong adhesion, fertile, and has the role of water and fertilizer conservation. Then, prepare 1000-fold solution of 80% carbendazim wettable powder and 1000-fold solution of 95% sodium sulfonate wettable powder, mix the two solutions together, and carry out thorough sterilization and disease prevention treatment. Carbendazim is used in seed and soil treatment and has a control effect on diseases caused by fungi such as semi-knowledge bacteria and polyascomycetes of crops. Disodium sulfonate has a special effect on diseases caused by Pythium and Trichoderma. After disinfection and sterilization, let the soil dry and dry for 1-2 days. During this time, the gardener was ready to pick branches.

The insertion technology of American red maple

Insertion period: the growth period is dominated by the growth period, supplemented by dormancy insertion. Growth period: also known as cutting with leaves, as long as the conditions are available (such as in the greenhouse), it can be propagated all the year round, and the most suitable period for cutting under natural humidity is June-September. During this period, most woody flowers end their growth for the first time in spring, and the cuttings contain more nutrients, which are conducive to survival. Dormant period: also known as light branch cutting, usually picking strips after falling leaves in autumn, burying through the winter, and then cutting in the following spring from March to April.

After-insertion management: cover the pot or seedling bed with plastic film or politics to maintain a certain humidity and temperature. In order to avoid sun exposure, cause a large amount of water transpiration and lead to leaf wilting, affecting survival, we should pay attention to shade, put the pot in the shade. Water management, according to the weather conditions, timely spray water, maintain a suitable air temperature. It is not easy to spray too much water, so as to avoid excessive humidity of the matrix and affect rooting. After the cuttings take root, stop for about half a month, you can move out and plant into the pot, first put the seedlings in the shade place, wait for the root system to develop well, the plant is strong, and then gradually move to the place where there is plenty of sunshine, and then manage it according to the routine.

Finally, I would like to remind you that if the local temperature is below minus 3 degrees Celsius, it is best not to plant the cuttings during this period. Only after pseudo-planting can you plant them, so as to ensure the survival of the American red maple.
