How to reproduce geraniums

The most practical way to breed flowers in family is to insert them into pots. The planting time is suitable from April to May or August to September. The specific planting time should be determined according to the local temperature (18℃~20℃) and the growth season. The culture soil should be loose, ventilated and drained well. It is best to choose a mixture of sand, pearlite and rotting soil, or medium coarse river sand, mature soil or expanded pearlite. All of them should be disinfected by the sun exposure and other methods before application.

Cuttings can be combined with spring and autumn pruning, select annual non-lame pests, healthy young shoots for cuttings, about 8 cm long, cut into horse ears at 0.2 cm below the node, dry the wound first and then insert, otherwise easy to rot, can also dip the incision with a little rooting powder, easy to promote rooting, cuttings lower leaves to cut off, retain 1~2 top leaves. If the leaves are large, they can also be cut off by 1/3 or 1/2. to reduce evaporation; When cuttage, first use thin bamboo to insert a small hole in the pot soil, then insert the ear, press tightly with fingers to make it closely connected with the soil; insert it in a cool place, avoid direct light, pour 1 time of water permeability, do not accumulate water, keep it moist, and take root about half a month under moderate temperature conditions; When the seedlings grow to 1~5 cm high, carry out topping treatment to promote lateral branches. At the same time, pay attention to applying thin nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound liquid fertilizer, or decomposed thin cake fertilizer and other organic fertilizers to promote strong plants. They can bloom in winter or spring of the following year.
