Green pineapple must be familiar to everyone, many owners will buy green pineapple to decorate their homes, and green pineapple also has a strong purification ability, so, how to grow green pineapple? The following is the editor of the No. 1 Home Network to introduce the cultivation techniques of green pineapple.

How to grow green pineapple?

1. Soil: soil is required to be loose, fertile and well drained. Potted green pineapple should choose rotten leaf soil with fertile, loose and good drainage, and partial acidity is better.

two。 Temperature: green pineapple is not cold-resistant, and the suitable temperature for growth is 14 ℃-18 ℃ at night and 21 ℃-27 ℃ in daytime. It should be protected against cold in winter, and the room temperature should be above 10 ℃. Open windows less at low temperature to avoid frostbite of leaves.

3. Lighting: green pineapple is extremely shady and can be placed all the year round in the sunny place indoors. In darker rooms, it should be moved to a strong light environment every semimonthly to restore for a period of time, otherwise it is easy to make the internodes grow and the leaves become smaller. When it is low in autumn and winter, the green pineapple should be placed in the place with the best indoor light, or move to a sealed balcony to bask in the sun at noon.

4. Moisture: green roses like flooding, watering more than ordinary flowers, but not stagnant water, to clean the tray submerged water. The watering time is 2-3 days. Clean the foliar lining soil in time and spray water to the foliage every day. This is especially true in hot summer. If the basin soil wants to keep moist, it should often spray water to the leaf surface to improve the air humidity so as to facilitate the growth of aerial roots.

5. Fertilization: give priority to nitrogen fertilizer, supplemented by phosphorus and potassium fertilizer; if the foliage is sprayed with 0.5%, 1% urea solution, the green leaves will be more green, and thin fertilizer should be applied frequently. Liquid fertilizer can be irrigated once a month during the vigorous growth period.

6. Reproduction: it is easy to take root with branches in spring and summer; totem poles must be inserted with large leaf tips so that they can take shape more quickly. Green pineapple can also be cultivated in water, but the plant is smaller than that in soil.

7. Pruning: 4-5 plants are planted or directly planted in each pot, and brown columns are set up in the middle of the basin to facilitate the upward growth of green pineapple. Plastic pruning is carried out in the spring. When the stem vine crawls all over the brown column and the tip exceeds the brown column by about 20 cm, cut off the stem tip of 2-3 plants by 40 cm. When new buds and new leaves sprout after truncation, cut off the stem tips of other plants.

The editor reminds us that when cultivating green pineapple, it is best not to choose to cultivate it in winter, because green pineapple bought in winter will generally be frozen, and the phenomenon of leaf yellow may occur after freezing, so it is better not to cultivate green pineapple in winter.
