Producing area and habit of red lotus palm

A subshrub native to the Canary Islands of the Atlantic Ocean. The place of origin has dry, hot and little rain in summer, the average temperature is 25 ℃, the winter is mild and humid, the average temperature is 10 ℃, and the annual rainfall is 1000mm. Like sandy loam with plenty of sunshine and good drainage.

Morphological characteristics

The plant has many branches, 25-50cm high, and the leaves at the ends of the branches are arranged in the shape of a lotus. Leaf blade Obovate, apiculate, 2.5-5cm long, thick, turquoise, glaucous, leaf margin reddish brown. Cymes with yellowish flowers, sometimes reddish.

Propagation and cultivation

Multiply by cuttings. In spring and summer, the best potted plants should be placed in the courtyard or on the balcony. In winter, they should be placed in a sunny place indoors, and watering should be controlled. Thin fertilizer was applied once every 15 days in the growing season. Rainy season medals do not make the basin stagnant.

Application
