Speaking of aloe, we all think of green pointed fleshy leaves, and we may never have thought that aloe would blossom. It is said that aloe vera really blossoms, but aloe vera flowering is rare. So some friends may then ask: will aloe bear fruit after blooming?

Aloe (scientific name: Aloe vera) Aloe vera is a perennial evergreen herb of Liliaceae. Its leaves are fascicled, large and fleshy, seated or born at the top of the stem, and the leaves are often lanceolate or short and wide, with sharp teeth on the edge. Inflorescences are umbrella-shaped, racemose, spike-shaped, conical, etc., red, yellow or with red spots, six petals and six pistils. Perianth base many connected to form a tube.

It can be seen that aloe can really blossom. But why haven't we seen aloe blossom for many years?

It is said that aloe flowering is rare because of the high environmental requirements of its flowering.

Aloe vera growing in the tropics usually blossoms around May, and the height of the flower branches is 30ft / 40m. Aloe vera growing in temperate regions is often not easy to blossom and can blossom only when temperature, humidity and light are suitable. For aloe to blossom, the following conditions are necessary:

1. Planting for more than 3 years. Aloe vera that has been planted for more than 3 years can produce beautiful yellow or safflower flowers. Unfortunately, aloe vera which has been cut and cultivated for many years never blossoms. It can be seen that it is not easy to make aloe vera blossom.

2. Sunlight is fully exposed for one year, and water is cut off for one month in summer (August), which is an absolute condition for flowering.

3. Grow in a warm environment in winter.

4. Add some phosphoric acid fertilizers such as oil dirt, chicken dung and rice bran every 10 days after autumn until November.

Experts explain that aloe flowering is indeed very rare. The flower stick can be up to one meter high. With good maintenance, the flowering period can be up to 4 months! Although it is not a good omen, it shows that flower growers are well maintained, climate, humidity, environment and other conditions are suitable, so there will be this rare flower blooming phenomenon.

As for whether aloe vera will bear fruit after flowering, it is said that it will, but it needs plenty of sunlight and nutrients; it is also said that only some aloe vera will bear fruit, most of them wilt after flowering, and there is no fruit at all; what is more, it will not bear fruit at all. Opinions vary, perhaps because aloe blossoms, which even experts say are rare, let alone results.
