Gentleman orchid, has a very meaningful name, therefore, has always been the object of chanting by scholars and poets, and it has also become a first of all: to increase the cultural flavor and elegance of the home. So, which kind of gentleman orchid is good? How to judge whether the magnolia is a good variety?

The leaves of Magnolia plants are opposite and can absorb ash layers and pollutants in the air. There are many varieties of orchids, and some of them are valuable and expensive. For people who know little about plants and orchids, how to choose orchids, especially good varieties of orchids?

First, look at the width of the leaves

The leaf width of adult Cymbidium is more than 9: 10 cm, the leaf length is not more than 3 times of leaf width, the leaf width is 6-18 cm, the ratio of length to width is 4-6 times, and the ratio of leaf length to width is more than 7 times.

Second, look at the veins of the leaves

3 vertical veins, veins obviously protruding, up to 1.5 mm, large vein spacing, vertical veins straight, horizontal veins flat for the best; 5 vertical veins, smooth and hidden, irregular veins for the middle grade; more than 5 vertical veins for the lower grade.

Third, look at the brightness of the leaves

The waxy gloss of the leaf surface is bright, bright, double-sided bright for the top grade; bright, half bright for the middle grade; not bright and gray for the inferior grade.

4. Look at the head shape of the leaf tip

Generally speaking, the blunt tip of the leaf is good; if it is round or a little pointed, it is the middle grade; the sharp tip like the sword tip is the lower grade. But there are also a few top-grade leaf tips that are sharp in shape.

Look at the thickness of the leaves

Those with thick leaves are good varieties, and those with thin leaves are general varieties. The thickness of the leaves of Magnolia is 2mm. Between 5mm, Xiaolan is 1. 15mm. Between 5mm is a good product. But neither Dalan nor Xiaolan can be too thick or too thin, which is inferior. The thickness difference between the edge and the middle of the leaf, the smaller the difference, the better.

Look at the color of the leaves

7. Look at the thickness uniformity of leaves

The thickness of the edge of the leaf and the middle of the leaf is uniform, the middle of the leaf is thicker than the edge of the leaf, and the thicker or trough in the middle of the leaf is the lower grade.

Look at the light absorption of the leaves (preference light)

The leaves are arranged neatly and unorderly, and the pots are not out of shape regardless of whether they are facing the sun or not, and the ones with extremely poor luminosity are the best products; if not, the central leaves will wither in the light direction every 3-5 days, otherwise the central leaves will show the phenomenon of going in and out for the middle grade; the flowerpot should adjust the light direction every day, otherwise the phenomenon of going out and entering in the center is very obvious, and the upper leaf east and lower leaf west are still the lower products after artificial shaping.

Look at the design and color

Dark orange, milky white lining, green centerline yarn is good; orange, red or light tea red is the middle grade; dark yellow, light yellow, beige, bright red, light red, red set of mixed yellow or set of mixed powder, petal tip, set of powder, set of miscellaneous color or set of gray-white, yellow set of red, yellow set of white are all inferior products.

Look at the pattern

The upper type of large petal is round but not scattered, the flower is between 28 and 45 or more, the gap between the flower and the flower is no more than 7 days, the flower of an arrow can produce a neat circle. The opening is irregular, blooming in 3-5 batches, and the one that blossoms along with it is the middle grade. The flowers of one arrow bloom one or two or three respectively, and those with a flowering period of one or two months are inferior.

Look at the fruit

The fruit is larger, the color is bright, the mouth protruding is the top grade; the fruit is smaller, the color is darker is the middle grade.

At present, there are many varieties of magnolia on the market, and their names are complex. I am afraid it is difficult to find varieties that can really meet the above eleven requirements. Therefore, if you want to raise a gentleman's orchid, you might as well follow the clues to find: stripes, monks-- traditional and valuable varieties.
