Hyacinth seed mildew is more serious and tricky than any pest. Improper handling will cause the whole ball to rot, and all efforts will be wasted. Mildew of seed balls is also a problem that many flower friends are more concerned about. I will give you a detailed answer today!

Growth conditions of hyacinth coccidiomyces:

Hyacinth bulbs are moldy

The mildew of the seed ball must be caused by the mold, but the culprit must be you, who have provided a good growth environment for the mold growth and raised the seed ball in which the mold harms the hyacinth.

Carbohydrates, corn and other grains (the editor doesn't think anyone will sprinkle crops into the flowerpot).

Sufficient moisture, humidity above 85%.

Suitable temperature (12 ℃ to 25 ℃).

oxygen.

Hydroponic hyacinth, high humidity, the bulb is rich in nutrients, the growth environment is very warm, all of which meet the needs of mold growth. If you meet a few unreliable flower friends, the mildew rate of the basic seed ball is 100%.

Mildew treatment method of hyacinth seed ball

Conventional methods and get rid of the moldy part, rinse with clean water and smear with germicidal powder, dry in a cool place after treatment, keep the section dry to avoid recurrence. It can be replanted after drying.

This is not a radical cure, no one can guarantee that the mold will be cleaned up, not to mention that there is mold in the air, once the environment is right, the ball is easy to mildew and rot again. So the focus is on prevention!

Methods of preventing mildew of hyacinth

Maintain the integrity of the seed ball itself. Do not often flip the seed ball, so as not to hurt the root system, in the process of changing water, you should pay special attention to not breaking the surface of the sphere, leaving wounds and increasing the chance of infection.

Clean the root disk regularly. The root system at the bottom of hydroponic hyacinth is easy to rot, and cleaning up the withered root in time is also one of the preventive measures.

Make sure the sphere is dry. The bottom of the root plate of hyacinth in hydroponic culture should be kept at a distance of 1 cm to 3 cm from the water surface as far as possible; do not wet the bulb when watering hyacinth.

Disinfect with carbendazim regularly. Carbendazim can always grow mold, but the sphere behind the bubble ball is wet, so it should be dried and recultivated.

The growth environment should not be too warm, if you can get low temperature, you do not need high temperature. Hyacinth itself can adapt to the colder environment, the flowering period is generally 15-18 ℃, moderate temperature is also an important part of prevention.
