Like well-drained, fertile and moist sandy soil. The place of origin usually takes decades to blossom, and after flowering, the mother plant dies and cross-pollination can bear fruit.

The culture method of tequila:

1. Soil: tequila is not strict on soil, but it is better to use loose, fertile and well-drained loam. When potted, it is usually mixed with rotten leaf soil and coarse sand.

2. Watering: tequila is very strong in nature and is not demanding on water. However, sufficient water must be given during its growth period in order to make it grow well. In addition, in the winter dormant period, tequila should not be irrigated too much water, otherwise it is easy to cause root rot.

3. Sunshine: tequila prefers light and should always be placed outside to receive sunlight, but flowers and leaves should be properly shaded in summer to keep their color fresh and tender. In winter, if the light is dark, it should be kept at a low temperature, not watered, and kept dry, otherwise it will rot. Light should be restored immediately in spring.

4. Temperature: the suitable growth temperature of tequila is 15: 25 ℃, and the best growth is at 10: 16 ℃ at night. Cold and dry in winter is the most favorable for its growth, and the overwintering temperature should be kept above 5 ℃.

5. Fertilization: tequila has a strong ability to adapt to the environment, even if it grows on quite barren soil, it will not affect the development of the plant. However, the fertile medium will still make tequila grow better. The frequency of fertilization is appropriate once a year, do not often spray fertilizer, otherwise it is easy to cause fertilizer damage.

6. Insect pests: tequila often occurs leaf spot, anthracnose and gray mold, which can be sprayed with 1000 times of 50% bacilli wettable powder. It is harmful to scale insects and is sprayed with 1000 times of 80% dichlorvos EC.
