The common diseases and insect pests of jasmine are white silk disease, bran scale insect and cotton aphid. You can refer to the following methods for prevention and control:

1. White silk disease:

In the rainy season, plum is easy to occur at the base of jasmine flowers on the surface of the basin soil. At the beginning of the disease, it shows a water-stained brown irregular spot, the cortex becomes rotten and soft, and soon produces a white silk-like mycelium, and finally becomes a yellowish-brown sclerotia. Prevention and control methods: ① watering should not be too much to avoid stagnant water in basin soil; soil can be changed when ② is serious, usually once a year, or disinfect soil; ③ cut off diseased branches or spray 50% carbendazim wettable powder before the onset of the disease.

2. Scale insects: nymphs or adults suck leaf sap at the back of leaves and shade of branches and stalks, which will wither flower branches and leaves and cause coal fouling disease. Control methods: ① cut off insect branches, concentrated burning, maintain ventilation; ② in the nymph stage, every 10-15 days with 1000 marathon emulsion spray, continuous spray 2-3 times better.

3. Cotton aphid: the harmful symptoms are roughly the same as those of scale insects on bran, concentrated in the tender parts of branches and leaves. 50% aphid can be sprayed with 1500 times of liquid.
