Brief report on the destination of China's vegetable Export (201801)

From the point of view of the destination of exports, Japan is the largest market for vegetables in China, but the ASEAN market is growing rapidly.

From January to November 2017, China exported vegetables to a total of 192 countries and regions, of which the top 10 countries and regions were Japan, Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, South Korea, the United States, Malaysia, Indonesia, Russia and the Netherlands. The vegetable exports of the top 10 countries and regions totaled 7.03 million tons, accounting for 71.9% of the total vegetable exports, and the vegetable exports totaled US $10.62395 billion, accounting for 76% of the total vegetable exports.

Japan is the largest vegetable market in China, accounting for more than 14% of China's total vegetable exports. From January to November 2017, China exported a total of 1.328 million tons of vegetables to Japan, with an export value of US $2.009 billion, an increase of 0.99% over the same period last year. According to the export value, the second largest export destination is Hong Kong, China, with an export value of US $1.925 billion, accounting for nearly 14% of China's total vegetable exports. The third, fourth, fifth and sixth export destinations are Vietnam, South Korea, the United States and Malaysia, accounting for 12%, 9%, 7% and 6% of China's total vegetable exports, respectively. It should be pointed out that some ASEAN countries and Russia have become a new growth point of China's vegetable exports in recent years.
