With the progress of dental medical technology, the technology of dental implant has been greatly improved. But no matter what kind of surgery, there are certain risks, implants are no exception, then implants may cause some complications.

Complications of dental implants:

1. The wound is ruptured:

Suture is too tight or too loose, especially in the case of infection, it is more likely to lead to local implant wound rupture, should be timely debridement, re-suture to avoid implants.

2. Bleeding:

Due to mucoperiosteal exfoliation injury or extensive submucosal exfoliation, especially after poor operation, submucosal or subcutaneous hemorrhage is easy to occur. Submental congestion can also occur when the implant penetrates the lower margin of the mandible in the first stage of operation. Local congestion can generally be absorbed after a few days, can be in the early postoperative cold compress, late hot compress. Due to factors, those who tend to bleed should be treated symptomatically.

3. Lower lip:

Multiple causes are caused by direct trauma of mental nerve injury or implant implantation during intraoperative dissection. Most of the former can be recovered, while the latter should remove the implant and avoid nerve re-location.

4. Perforation of sinus mucosa:

During the maxillary implant, due to the lack of bone mass, it is easy to penetrate the maxillary sinus or nasal mucosa, which is bound to cause peri-implant infection due to timely removal.
