Acupuncture, that is, acupuncture and moxibustion to prevent and treat diseases, is a magical treatment in traditional Chinese medicine. In fact, not only people can be treated with acupuncture, pigs, but also acupuncture can be used to treat diseases.

The four commonly used acupuncture treatments for pig diseases are as follows:

1. White needle therapy. The acupuncture points of this therapy are generally located in the fullness of muscles, between the dorsal vertebrae, joint bones, etc., and there is no thick blood vessel distribution.

According to different acupoints, the angle of acupuncture is divided into three: straight needling (90 degrees), oblique needling (30 degrees 45 degrees) and flat acupuncture (15 degrees 25 degrees). The depth of acupuncture depends on the size of livestock and poultry. Be careful not to stab the internal organs when acupuncture is on the back. The needle sensation reaction can be obtained by accurate needling and acupuncture manipulation, and can also be determined by the occurrence of waist arch, tail warping, local muscle contraction and skin tremor in pigs.

White needle therapy is often used for digestive system diseases, muscle flash injuries, sprains, peripheral nerve paralysis, female infertility and yellow water and venom outflow caused by pricking yellow swelling and so on.

2. Blood acupuncture therapy. Also known as red needle, pricking blood or Shakespeare.

Small wide acupuncture blood, in general, the needle blade should be parallel to the trend of blood vessels, in order to prevent the severing of blood vessels. The acupoints of blood acupuncture are generally relatively shallow, and you can bleed by injecting 0.5mm or so. The amount of blood loss has a direct impact on the treatment effect, febrile disease, swelling disease, poisoning disease and fat pigs can be released more. Such as a number of acupoints bloodletting 100ml or so, acupuncture bleeding, generally can stop bleeding on their own, or reach a certain amount of bleeding, compression hemostasis.

Blood acupuncture has the functions of health care and keeping fat, purging heat and opening orifices, relieving pain and relieving arthralgia, eliminating jaundice and swelling, purging poison and so on. It is often used for hot diseases, such as treating colds, heatstroke and poisoning in pigs. For some "stiff pigs" with weak belly and big belly, it has the effect of promoting fat gain after pricking 8 needles at Baluo point.

3. Water acupuncture therapy. Acupoint injection, also known as acupoint injection, is a therapy in which medicine suitable for intramuscular injection is directly injected into acupoints and pain points. The tools used for water acupuncture therapy are ordinary injection needles and syringes. Generally, white acupuncture points are suitable for water acupuncture, and suitable acupoints can be selected according to different diseases. Such as selecting temples for ophthalmopathy, Houhai and Pi Shu points for digestive tract diseases, Su Qi and Feishu points for respiratory diseases, and so on. Do not choose too many acupoints each time, generally take 1-3 acupoints. The drug solution is selected for different diseases, the dosage is the general intramuscular injection of 1 needle 5 times 1 stroke 3, and one acupoint injection of 3~5ml solution is appropriate.

Water acupuncture is widely used in the treatment of traumatic lameness, rheumatism, nerve paralysis, constipation, placenta retention, prolapse of anus, ophthalmopathy and so on.

4. Card (tail) therapy. That is, the method of treating pig disease with drugs embedded in the "card point" of the pig ear (or the "card tail point" in the tail), also known as yellow therapy, is called "install letter" in folk. It is the use of acupuncture and drug induction to induce "internal xanthosis" in pigs to stimulate the disease resistance of the body.

Toad and arsenite are commonly used, both of which are poisonous. The card medicine method is to pierce the skin under the skin with a wide needle at the card ear point to form a subcutaneous capsule, and the toad or arsenite is stuffed into the sac, and the card medicine will be red and swollen or the auricle will rot into small holes, which has little effect on the growth of pigs. When you get stuck, you can only get one ear at a time, and if you need the second time, you need to get the second ear a week after the first time. You can only get stuck twice at the most. Chronic diseases in pigs, such as asthma, influenza and the chronic phase of some diseases, can be treated with card (tail) therapy when the effect of drug treatment is not obvious.
