Planting technology of ginseng

(1) site selection: fertile, rich in humus, good drainage and permeability, barren mountains, wasteland or pastoral land.

(2) soil preparation: ploughing the land one year in advance, and then fallow for a year, ploughing the soil many times in the same year, ripening the soil, and applying suitable base fertilizer combined with ploughing. About a month before planting ginseng, the soil formed a ridge, and then fell into a ridge many times, smashed the clods and picked up sundries.

(3) making bed: the reference bed is generally made of wide 110~130cm, high 25~30cm, and the length is arbitrarily determined, usually 10-30m. The distance between the bed and the width of the bed is the width of the working path, which is generally wide 150~300cm. The bed should be raked fine, and the surface of the bed should be made into a turtle-shaped high bed. At the same time, you can apply human base fertilizer to make a bed, preferably with rotten leaves or green manure.

(4) sowing: sow 1-2 seeds per hole on demand, cover soil with 3~4cm or strip sowing to open shallow ditches according to row spacing 10~15cm horizontal border, sow seeds wide 5cm, often sow seeds into shallow grooves on the bed, spread seeds evenly on the grooves, then cover the soil with 4~5cm, and gently suppress and cover with grass after sowing.

(5) shading: ginseng is afraid of strong light exposure, so it should be shaded. From mid-April to early May, the producing area can be shelved and draped to make a shade. At present, the use of full shade shed is more common. In general, the height of the front eaves column of the shade shed is 80~1OOcm, the height of the back eave column is 50-70cm, and the height of the front eave column of the shade is 100~120cm, the height of the eave column of the back eave is 70~90em, and the width of the shed is 180~200cm.

(6) seed collection: at 3 years old, it began to blossom and bear fruit. Seed collection affects the yield and quality of ginseng. Generally, seeds are collected every other year, and buds should be picked in the year when no seed is collected. Ginseng fruit ripens one after another, and the bright red fruit is ripe. Scrub off the pericarp and pulp (peel, pulp and seed water for the first time should be reserved for processing ginseng paste and other finished products), and the washed seeds can be sown as water seeds after a little drying.
