With thick soil, smooth drainage, suitable environmental conditions and certain nutrients, the normal growth of flowers can be guaranteed. Most flowers grown in the open field require a soil pH of 7.0, which means the soil is neutral, while flowers grown in greenhouses require acidic soil.

Flowers need nutrients in a large number of elements are 3: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium; minor elements are 3: calcium, magnesium, sulfur; trace elements are iron, beryllium, copper, zinc, manganese and chlorine.

(2) Grasp the technical details of sowing

Sowing is the initial stage of flower cultivation and planting, and it is also the key point whether flowers can grow healthily. It must be highly valued. As far as the sowing stage is concerned, three aspects of work should be done well: ploughing, soil preparation and making beds.

Cultivated land: divided into spring ploughing and autumn ploughing, the depth of cultivated land should be set to 20~40 cm, not too deep.

Soil preparation: keep the soil transparent and evacuated by means of breaking, ploughing and sorting sundries. In this process, we should also grasp the moisture content in the soil to create soil moisture suitable for flower planting.

Sowing: The technique that affects flower cultivation and also affects the later growth of flowers. Therefore, we should pay attention to grasp the sowing time and sowing method of flowers.

(3) Do a good job of thinning and transplanting seedlings

Thinning: After sowing, if the seedlings are too dense, thinning is needed to expand the plant spacing to ensure good growth of flowers and seedlings. It should be noted that thinning seedlings should not be too late, otherwise it will cause excessive growth.

Transplantation: There are two steps: "seedling" and planting.

Sprouting: It is to raise the flower seedlings from the seedbed.

Planting: divided into planting and false planting. Planting: seedlings are no longer transplanted after planting; false planting: seedlings grow after a certain period of time after planting, but also re-planting.

(4) Strengthen fertilizer management

Reasonable fertilization and proper watering are necessary conditions for the healthy growth of flowers. Fertilization includes base fertilizer and topdressing. Base fertilizer is generally applied in the early stage of flower planting, which is the basic fertilizer for flower growth; fertilizer applied in the process of flower growth is called topdressing, and topdressing is to ensure sufficient nutrition for flower growth.

(v) diligently weeding

Weeds compete with flowers for nutrients, interfere with their healthy growth, and are breeding grounds for germs and pests. Therefore, attention should be paid to weeding in the process of flower growth to create a suitable growth environment for flowers.

(vi) Trimming branches

Cutting off diseased branches, dead branches and residual branches is also an important link. This can avoid secondary infection of flowers and reduce the number of germs and pests to a certain extent.

(7) Prevention of diseases and insect pests

In order to avoid the invasion of pests, some suitable drugs should be selected timely, accurate, safe and reasonable, and field management should be strengthened to strengthen the prevention and control of various pests.
