Perhaps it has long been realized in childhood that living together with trees can bring much beauty to life and the environment. Cheng Liyi, director of the coastal afforestation project of the Tzu Xin Organic Agriculture Development Foundation, can be in the midst of the difficulties of tree conservation and coastal afforestation. Embrace an everlasting passion. "Don't you think it's good to see the tree over there?" Cheng Liyi sincerely responded to the difficult problem of coastal afforestation with a childlike innocence and fearlessness.

Last year, Cheng Liyi was awarded the first Taiwan Charity Award in 2018, which honors Taiwan's practitioners who have devoted themselves to vulnerable care, social issues and environmental protection. Cheng Liyi recalled the moment when she fell in love with trees. She said that when she was a child, her family renovated the house and a big tree grew in the middle of the house. Her father specially dug a hole. The house was carefully trimmed along the trunk, and the trees thrived against the house. The sky light shone on the big tree, illuminating the road where Cheng Liyi and the trees depended on each other.
