First, environmental reasons.

Second, biological reasons.

1. Pathogens: the pathogens of ornamental fish include fungi, bacteria, viruses, protoorganisms and so on. These pathogens are the chief culprits that affect the health of ornamental fish.

2. Algae: some algae such as dinoflagellate, water net and so on have a direct impact on ornamental fish. Water nets often entangle ornamental fish and cause them to die.

Third, the reason of the fish itself.

1. Physiological reasons: the response ability and resistance of fish to external diseases vary with age, health status, nutrition, size and so on.
