The following is an introduction to the cultivation methods and precautions of wood chrysanthemum.

Growth Habits of Wood Chrysanthemum

Wood chrysanthemum is a cold-resistant perennial flower, like cool climate and sufficient sunshine, in 10-25℃ temperature conditions of growth and development best, wood chrysanthemum is a short-day plant, short days and low temperature is an important condition for chrysanthemum development. When the sunshine is reduced to 13.5 hours, the minimum temperature drops to 15℃, and the temperature difference between day and night is 10℃, flower buds begin to differentiate; when the sunshine is 12.5 hours, the minimum temperature drops to about 10℃, flower buds begin to form. Chrysanthemum drought-resistant afraid of water, like fertile and humus-rich soil, there is no strict requirement for soil acidity.

Cultivation method of wood chrysanthemum

1. The basin is suitable for inheritance. In late autumn and early winter, collect all kinds of leaves (preferably broad-leaved leaves), pile them up in layers with sand and human and animal dung 1/3 deep in the pit to the pit mouth, and add appropriate amount of water if it is dry dung. April to May of the next year will be taken out of the pile, every 20-30 days turned 1, a total of 2 "3 times, until all the leaves rot.

2. Planting of grape seedlings. The methods of cultivating single-leaf chrysanthemum include bud turning method, cuttage method, etc. Although the chrysanthemum cultivated by bud turning method has large flowers, bright colors, plump petals and long flowering period, its height is more than 60 cm, some up to about 1 meter, and the lower leaves are easy to fall off, which affects viewing. If the bud turning stage is postponed, the pot is planted at night, the late management is carried out, and the height is controlled vigorously in the later stage, and the leaf protection is paid attention to, the purpose of dwarfing can be achieved. Before winter, take out the foot buds in the pot and plant them to make them survive the winter safely.

3. Summer management. In the first half of May, the chrysanthemum seedlings are taken out from the pots, and the plants are planted in flowerpots or fields with certain fertility culture soil. After planting, sufficient water is poured and attention is paid to weeding and loosening. Topping begins in the middle and late June, and all the topping is completed within 20 days according to the order of late flowering and short varieties first, middle flowering varieties later, early flowering and tall varieties last. When topping, keep more than ten whole leaves from top to bottom, while the lower leaves are completely removed, and then wipe off the axillary leaves at any time to promote the growth of foot buds from the roots.

4. Planting in the upper pot. August 10-25, when the foot bud length of 10 cm will be transplanted in the pot of two pots (than the general planting method delayed by 1 month). It is also late flowering short varieties planted first, early flowering and tall varieties planted last. Only one strong, far away from the old plant and normal internode foot bud is selected, and the rest are cut off. Plant the foot buds straight, and let the old stems tilt naturally (if you want to cultivate 3 flowers, you can plant 3 foot buds). If the culture soil is wet, do not water it and put it in a semi-shady place. Spray the leaves 3-4 times a day to keep the chrysanthemum plants hydrated. After 1 week, normal management was transferred. When planting, fill 6 into the culture soil, not more.

5. Autumn management. The older plants are cut off in early September. After 3 days, fill secondary culture soil ("spherical" hypertrophic variety fill heavy fertilizer culture soil,"noon" still fill ordinary culture soil). After budding, the bulbous and plump chrysanthemum varieties were filled with heavy fertilizer culture soil, while the other varieties were still filled with common culture soil. When chrysanthemum plant height is 20 cm, foliar fertilizer is added, and urea 2000 times solution is sprayed once every 3 days. After budding, urea 2000 times solution and potassium dihydrogen phosphate 2000 times solution were sprayed alternately until color appeared.

6. Bud stripping. When chrysanthemum bud, bud grow to soybean grain size when the side bud and axillary bud will be removed at any time. However, one axillary bud nearest to the top bud should be reserved as a spare bud to prevent flowers from being damaged due to damage to the original bud. The spare bud can be removed only when the color is quickly developed.

7. Control height. The height of ornamental chrysanthemum should be 30-50 cm, and its height should be controlled with drugs. Bg and paclobutrazol 800-fold solution were sprayed on leaves and growing points every 10~15 days. After budding, root was watered with 600 times solution of the above agents.

The above is the cultivation methods and precautions of wood chrysanthemum related content, I hope to help everyone.
