Rural breeding technology sharing (4): what feed is needed for rural mutton sheep breeding?

Raising mutton sheep in rural areas, in addition to green fodder and roughage, concentrate fodder, there are several kinds of feed must be used, so that raising sheep can be both healthy and fattening fast, let's learn more about it.

1. Green feed

In addition to the wild weeds and leaves in the fields and by the river, there are also artificially planted high-quality forages. Such as: ryegrass, clover, aggregate grass, Sudan grass and other excellent forage grass. Livestock raising is recommended, which can solve the source of winter forage. (generally small-scale farming in rural areas is not suitable for manual recommendation)

2. Roughage

It refers to the stems and leaves of all kinds of crops after harvest. Such as: Rice straw, corn straw, soybean stalk, peanut vine, sweet potato seedlings and so on. Some can be directly stored and used, while others need to be fed after processing, such as fine cutting, powdering, wetting, soaking, fermentation, ammoniation and so on.

3. Concentrate feed

Also known as energy protein feed. Mainly corn, soybean, wheat, miscellaneous grains, bean dregs, bean skins, bean cakes and other agricultural and sideline products.

4. Animal feed

There are mainly high protein feeds such as fish meal, silkworm pupa, blood meal and meat dregs, which are suitable for feeding ewes and lambs

5. Mineral feed

Mainly salt, bone meal, calcium carbonate and so on.

6. Special feed

Urea, which can only be fed in a concentrated diet rich in carbohydrates, accounts for 0.02 to 0.05% of the body weight of sheep. Feed urea 2g / 10kg body weight.
