Schisandra chinensis is usually planted by seedling and transplanting.

① seedling cultivation: the nursery land should be close to the water source, leeward and sunny, and the soil should be a slightly acidic sandy loam with loose and fertile soil, deep soil and good drainage. Apply barnyard manure 2000 to 3000 kg every 667 meters, turn 20 to 25 centimeters deep, rake fine and level to make a high border, 120 centimeters wide, 15 centimeters high and 10 centimeters long. Sow seeds that have been cracked after treatment in the first and middle of May. Sowing in horizontal trenches on the seedling bed, row spacing 10 cm 15 cm, covering soil 1.5 cm, covering grass to keep warm and moisturizing, the sowing amount is 30 grams per square meter. It can also be sown with a seeding rate of 80 grams per square meter. Build a 0.6-0.8-meter-high shading scaffolding on the border, shading with grass curtains or shading nets, with 50% transmittance. The seedlings emerged 15-20 days after sowing, and the shade was gradually removed when the seedlings grew a pair of cotyledons and 3-4 true leaves. The seeds of Schisandra chinensis are not fully mature when the fruit is ripe, and the seeds need to be treated at low temperature before they can be used for sowing. In autumn, the fresh fruit is scrubbed with water to remove the pulp, the seeds are soaked in clean water for 3 to 5 days, rinse and change water once a day, the submerged seeds are mixed with 2 times as much wet sand, and put into a pit with a width of 50 cm, a depth of 50 cm and a length according to the number of seeds, covered with fine sand of 10 cm and 15 cm, then covered with grass curtains, and the seeds can be sown in April-May of the following year.

② transplanting: transplanting before turning green in spring or after defoliation in autumn in the following year, it is better to transplant in spring, and the survival rate is high in the evening and cloudy days. The transplanting density is generally 1.2 to 1.5 meters between rows and 50 to 60 centimeters between plants. One seedling is transplanted on each side of the stand, and 1 750 seedlings are transplanted every 667 meters.
