Feeding method: from 15 days before parturition to the peak of milk production (30-45 days after delivery), we should feed more concentrate and less coarse feed. From 15 days before parturition, each cow was fed 1.5-1.8 kg concentrate per day, and then increased by 0.3-0.5 kg per day until 1-1.5 kg concentrate per 100 kg body weight. Dairy cows can secrete early milk, peak lactation, mid-lactation and late lactation during lactation. The milk production of dairy cows reached its peak in 1-3 months after delivery, and then the monthly milk production gradually decreased by 5% to 10%. According to this characteristic, cows should continue to feed 0.3 kilograms and 0.5 kilograms of concentrate every day until the peak of milk production, but the maximum daily feeding amount of concentrate should not exceed 17 kilograms. After the peak period, the cows are raised according to the normal standard.

Limited feeding method: prenatal feeding restrictions were implemented for dairy cows with strong physique and good nutritional status. During the dry period, feed more high-quality succulent feed or green hay and less concentrate (no more than 4 kg per day). From 1 week after delivery, each head is fed 0.3 kg 0.5 kg of concentrate per day until no more than 17 kg of concentrate is fed daily. Mix well and let the cattle eat freely for 2 to 3 months.

Alternative feeding method: in order to achieve the purpose of high and stable yield and stimulate the appetite of dairy cows, concentrate should be fed alternately when high and low periodically. From 10 days after delivery, the cows were fed with 8 kg of hay, 10 kg of silage (12 kg of grass or vegetable leaves) and 7 kg of concentrate for 1 week. Then the concentrate was gradually reduced to 3 kg, the daily feed of green hay was increased to 11 kg, and 30 kg of succulent feed (grass, vegetable leaves and rhizomes, etc.) were fed for 1 week. The concentrate was gradually increased to 13 kg and remained until the end of the peak period of milk production.
