Planting leek, like other potted plants, should first make efforts on soil selection, because leek is a perennial plant that can be harvested many times, so the requirement for soil quality will be higher. We should choose fertile and breathable soil to avoid soil consolidation caused by watering for a long time. Generally speaking, it is recommended to use peat soil plus fermented organic fertilizer as the main carrier for the production of leek. Mix the peat soil and fermented organic fertilizer in a ratio of 1RU 1.5 and pour water in a basin and set aside.
Then there is the choice of leek: the variety selection of leek is the main factor affecting the taste of leek, it is generally recommended to use red root leek to do leek, after selecting the leek can be dealt with, the selected leek from the root to retain about 3 cm, the rest are cut off. Then transplant the cut leek roots into the pot in the order of 3-5 plants per clump.
Now that the leek is transplanted into the basin, then we can avoid the light next, we can put the installed leek pot together, and then cover it with a sunshade net, or we can put the planted leek in an indoor place to avoid the light. The premise is that the site must be a dry and ventilated place to avoid the forehead rot caused by the lack of light and humidity for a long time.
Harvest: put the leek under the condition of avoiding light for about ten days, and the leek can be harvested when it grows to about 20 centimeters. You can harvest it according to the method of sticking to the ground. Remember to water it in the first two days after harvest to prevent the wound from rotting and causing plant death.
