Hyacinth is native to the eastern Mediterranean coast and likes cool, moist and sunny environments. Hyacinth can be hydroponics and soil culture, maybe some friends do not have a special understanding of hyacinth culture methods, today for you a brief introduction, let's have a look at it.

The florescence of hyacinth

The flowering period of Fengxin flowers is usually about two weeks from the beginning of the first flower. It usually blossoms from March to June, and its growth cycle is dormancy in summer, rooting in autumn and winter, sprouting in early spring, flowering in March, and plant withering in early June.

After the Fengxin flower blossoms once, cut off the withered roots and leaves, put them in a cool place or plant in the soil, plant or pot in September, apply base fertilizer and topdressing fertilizer, promote the division of the mother bulb and help the seed bulb grow, and only when it is grown to a certain extent can it bloom again. It can also be planted next spring and blossom again.

Notes on Hyacinth in Water Culture

I. requirements for vases and water

You can choose wide-mouth glass bottles, plastic bottles and so on. The water quality should be clean, and the water should be changed once a week. If the nutrient solution is added, the frequency of water change will be determined according to the degree of turbidity of the water. Also add water frequently to keep it soaked to the bulb.

2. Cultivation methods

The water surface should be 1 '2cm away from the bulb, and do not immerse the water at the bottom of the bulb. Then place it in a dark place and cover the bottle with a black cloth to promote root development. When the root grows to the left and right of 10cm, it moves to a warm, southward windowsill with plenty of scattered light.

Third, the requirements for water temperature and light

The water temperature should not be too high, and it is best to control it at 15: 20 ℃. When leaves and buds grow, they are exposed to scattered light for 1 to 2 hours a day to make their leaves and pedicels grow healthily and change in one direction every day, so that they do not grow to one side because of light tendency. Without fertilization, a bright and fragrant hyacinth can be produced in March and April of the following year.

IV. Room temperature requirements

Keep the room temperature at 17: 20 ℃, you will enjoy the process of bud formation, growth and coloration, but do not put it directly near the heat source, so the beautiful hyacinth flowers will prolong the opening time.

Notes on soil cultivation of hyacinth

1. Select strong bulbs and plant them on loose soil.

2. The mixed matrix of peat and perlite can be selected in the culture soil.

3. The third part of the top of the ball should be exposed to the basin soil, which is more beneficial to the growth of bulbs.

4. Put it in a sunny place after planting, and keep the pot soil moist. The temperature for promoting flowers should be 5-10 ℃. It should also be noted that hyacinth is in great need of light and water, if the light is not enough, or if it is dry for a long time in winter, it will lead to poor flowering; if you see that the flowering stem is too short to elongate, potted flower 1 can be placed in the shade for several days to promote the stem and leaf to grow, and then turn to normal maintenance after the flower stem protrudes. Hyacinth has pink, purplish red, snow blue, white, yellow, pink and other colors, the breeding method is the same.
