Early rice production in Sanmen County has fought a "turnaround" this year, with the county's sown area reaching 8160 mu, an increase of more than 6500 mu over last year, setting a new record for early rice production in recent years. The cultivation of more than 8000 mu of early rice was all taken care of by 26 major grain growers.

The increase of land transfer is the key factor for the success of early rice production in Sanmen County. Since last year, the county has intensified land development and consolidation on the one hand, promoted the orderly transfer of land contractual management rights through public bidding on the other hand, and tilted various subsidy policies to large grain growers, the effect is very obvious.

According to reports, this year's early rice planting area in the county is all concentrated in the hands of 26 major grain growers, with the largest planting area reaching 1505 mu and the least 30 mu. Large grain growers have become the "main force" of grain production in the county, popularizing a large number of advanced and applicable technologies such as mechanized transplanting, direct seeding and throwing seedlings.

The orderly progress of land transfer has attracted a lot of industrial and commercial capital and returning farmers to early rice production. Zhai Changxing, a villager from Meili Village, Xiaoxiong Town, had been doing business. After learning that the local land consolidation project had been completed, he bought 1000 mu of land in one breath to grow early rice. Wang Congfu, a villager of Mazhuang Village, Liuao Town, contracted land in Shanghai for many years. After the completion of the land consolidation project in Liuao Nantang, he rushed back to his hometown to contract land and planted 1505 mu of early rice this year, becoming the "number one" early rice grower in the county this year.

In addition, the county has also increased its financial direct subsidy to agriculture and agriculture this year. Large grain growers can enjoy subsidy policies and grain reserve incentives in the selection of improved rice varieties, the application of mechanized rice transplanting operations and the acceptance of the "unified control and control" services of plant protection cooperatives. It is reported that when all kinds of subsidies are added together, large grain growers can receive financial subsidies of up to 290 yuan per mu.

In order to publicize various policies to support agriculture and benefit agriculture, the agricultural department of the county made a lot of efforts to distribute more than 100000 "plain cards" to farmers throughout the county. The "clear card" not only shows the policies of the central and provincial, municipal, and county governments to support grain production, but also provides services for agriculture, service contents, service units, and service hotlines. "We are well aware of the supporting policies and service projects for grain production. With so many financial subsidies for growing grain, our enthusiasm for growing grain is of course high." Chen Maopeng, a villager from Yuxi Village, Zipu Town, told reporters that he had planted 400 mu of early rice this year, and earning 40,000 to 50,000 yuan should not be a problem.
