Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Diseases in marine cage culture are on the rise in Lianjiang County, Fujian Province.

With the gradual rise of water temperature, in some fishing areas concentrated in Lianjiang County, some fish bacterial diseases are gradually active, and the incidence of some aquaculture products has increased.

Recently, when conducting disease surveillance in Luoyuan Bay in the county, aquaculture technicians found that some of the cage-cultured fish in Luoyuan Bay had been infected with parasites such as cryptosporidium, rotifer, sea worm, Brooke worm, valve worm and nematode.

According to reports, these causes are mainly due to the high density of marine cage culture in some culture areas, and the sea water temperature is maintained at 21.6-23.2 ℃, which is conducive to the growth and reproduction of parasites.

Technicians remind that at present, the disease in the affected sea area has not been effectively controlled, and it is possible to cause a large-scale epidemic of parasitic diseases in the above-mentioned seawater cage culture area, and farmers should arouse widespread concern and take preventive measures. If necessary, turn to the local fishery technical department to jointly discuss the solution.
