Li Zheng, 23, lives in Longtouwan Village, Wandian Town, Zengdu District, Hubei Province. He is the director-general of Zhengxin Rabbit Professional Cooperative. Although he is young, he has a history of dealing with rabbits for seven years. Because of raising rabbits, he was once a typical "black sheep" in the village; because of raising rabbits, he is now called "capable young man" by villagers. Love to raise small animals, nine oxen can not pull back

For various reasons, Li Zheng dropped out of junior high school before graduating. Li Zheng, who did not want to work outside and liked small animals since childhood, became interested in breeding. He bought quail, bamboo rat, American king pigeon to raise, spent a lot of money and time, the result ended in failure.

His parents were angry when they saw him "killing his life" again and again. Under the pressure of his family, at the age of 16, Li Zheng followed his parents to Shanghai and worked in a stainless steel processing shop run by his uncle. After only a month, Li Zheng quietly "slipped" back home. He thought, rabbits are things that eat grass,"life cheap", should be easy to raise some. As a result, the six rabbits that were tested only jumped for more than a week and died again.

A young man who doesn't go out to earn money but hides at home all day and makes trouble. Isn't this a "black sheep"? The comments of the villagers made Li Zheng almost ashamed to see people. After a series of blows, he finally understood a truth: without technology, even if he ate grass, he couldn't raise it. In 2004,18-year-old Li Zheng took the initiative to go out_he was going to Sichuan Province to learn from teachers.

Master "Rabbit King" to get the true scriptures

Li Zhengbai's master is Ren Xuping, the director of "Xuping Rabbit Farm" in Jinyuan Town, Dayi County, Sichuan Province, known as "Chinese Rabbit King." At that time, Ren Xuping was opening rabbit training classes nationwide, each for 10 days. In order to learn "real kung fu", Li Zheng learned three consecutive sessions in the rabbit training class. After that, he stayed in the rabbit farm for three months free of charge, finally mastered the knack of rabbit breeding.

This year, he bought back 40 breeding rabbits from Sichuan and started his business in the real sense. At that time, his parents and younger brother were working in Shanghai stainless steel processing shop, and he took care of the 12 mu responsible farmland at home. That kind of tiredness impressed him deeply.

There's always a reward. Li Zheng's rabbits are becoming more and more prosperous, with 3000 out of cages a year, earning tens of thousands of yuan. In 2007, Li Zheng's parents returned home to help him set up a standardized rabbit farm.

Set up a cooperative to lead everyone rich

The rabbit farm was set up, and Li Zheng's vision was broadened. In addition to breeding ordinary meat rabbits, he also tried to successfully breed "experimental rabbits" and "pet rabbits". He raised more rabbit varieties, there are "California rabbit","new Zealand rabbit","Japanese big ear white","Rex rabbit" and so on.

In May 2008, with the support of Wandian Town Government and industrial and commercial departments in Zengdu District, Li Zheng registered Zhengxin Rabbit Breeding Professional Cooperative. At present, the cooperative has developed 17 members with 20 breeding rabbits and more than 800 cages per year. He explained rabbit breeding knowledge to members and other rabbit farmers free of charge, provided technical support and organized sales.

As the saying goes,"birds are better than chickens, animals are better than rabbits", Li Zheng introduced that with the improvement of people's living standards, rabbit meat food with health care, beauty and longevity functions will have a large market.

Li Zheng was very dissatisfied with his small achievements in his career. He said that at present, rabbit breeding in Suizhou area is not on scale, rabbit sales are still in the state of "bulk sale", the main profits let middlemen earn. Next, he wants to further develop members, expand breeding scale, open rabbit meat specialty stores, put on rabbit meat deep processing projects, so that more farmers can become rich through rabbit breeding.
