Guo Shaogui of Jinshan Tun District Great Kunlun Management Institute has been engaged in bagged Auricularia auricula since 1995. After years of practice, the planting technology has become more and more mature. By 2003, the planting scale has reached 30, 000 bags, with an average yield of about 12 taels.

With the growing planting scale of Auricularia auricula in China, the purchase price of conventional bagged Auricularia auricula in the market has decreased year by year. Autumn fungus and small ear have become hot-selling products in the edible mushroom market. In order to meet the market demand of edible fungus, Guo Shaogui began to plant Auricularia auricula in 2005. Due to lack of planting technology, he visited and studied in Mudanjiang and other places, bought books on autumn fungus planting, and groped for planting experience in practice. After several years of development, the planting technology of Auricularia auricula has basically matured. In 2007, the average yield per bag of 5000 bags of Auricularia auricula planted by him reached 0.8 taels, and in 2008, 10 000 bags of Auricularia auricula, with an average yield of 0.9 taels per bag. In order to encourage its development of Auricularia auricula planting, the Great Kunlun Management Institute provided him with fungus placement space, small poles and other materials free of charge, and organized management personnel to carry out voluntary work in the bacterial bag, harvest and other seasons to support it to further expand its scale and play an exemplary role. This year, he further expanded the planting scale of Auricularia auricula to 30,000 bags, is currently in the picking stage, according to conservative estimates, the average yield per bag will be more than 0.8 taels.

Led by him, the planting scale of autumn fungus in the Great Kunlun Management Institute has reached 8 households and 150000 bags this year. Guo Shaogui, relying on many years of practical experience, has volunteered to explain the planting technology of Auricularia auricula to other growers and went deep into the field to provide technical guidance to solve the problems in the production of autumn fungus.

Guo Shaogui also planted 20,000 bags of Auricularia auricula this year, using V-shaped holes, triangular holes, nailboard holes and other holes to compare planting yields and explore planting experience, which played an exemplary and leading role in the development of black fungus industry in our region.
