The cost of raising geese is high, the risk is high, and there are few farmers raising geese on a large scale. However, a farmer in Shangsi County relies on excellent technology and raises thousands of geese a year, becoming a famous goose farmer in the county.

He is Li Yongke, a big goose farmer in Kong Tuotun, Changdun Village, Siyang Town. On August 27, the author went to Kong Tuotun and learned about Li Yongke's deeds of raising geese and getting rich.

In 2004, after on-the-spot investigation and research, Li Yongke focused on the cause of aquaculture, which has a very promising future. He exchanged his land with others and raised 200000 yuan to intercept three small rivers to make a large area of aquaculture. The reservoir in the farm can use more than 50 mu of water.

At the beginning of the business, with no technology, no experience, and no way, the first batch of geese raised by Li Yongke also suffered the disaster of extinction. A large number of goslings growing to more than 1 jin got sick and died inexplicably, and 1000 geese died. At that time, when the villagers saw him dumping the sick geese in baskets, they all thought that Li Yongke was finished. The great setback made Li Yongke realize the importance of science and technology. In 2003, he made up his mind, bought a computer and began to collect advanced breeding technology and experience on the Internet. In 2004, he went to Hubei to study for a month at his own expense, and subscribed to scientific and technological newspapers and periodicals to learn more advanced and systematic knowledge of breeding.

Through extensive study, Li Yongke gradually mastered excellent breeding skills, and he began to follow the mode of "goose-duck-pig-fish" breeding. The number of poultry and livestock raised gradually became large, and the number of geese in each batch reached 600 million. The survival rate and the quality of adult geese have also been guaranteed. In 2005, the Lion-headed Goose he raised was taken over by an enterprise in Hepu, and the foie gras was processed and exported to Southeast Asian countries. On the day of Ghost Festival, July 14 of the lunar calendar this year, Li Yongke's 600 adult geese were ordered by the boss of Nanning without going to the market for retail.

When he embarked on the road to getting rich, Li Yongke not only did not keep the technical secret, but unreservedly told the farmers who came to learn from the breeding experience, driving the farming in nearby villages. As a result, he also won the title of "science and technology demonstration household" for raising geese recognized by the county Science and Technology Bureau. At present, Li Yongke's breeding base has declared the "demonstration Unit for the Construction of Guangxi Rural Science and Technology Service system".
