Jiang Zongxiang, a farmer in Dalubian Village, Xintang Bian Town, went out to start a business in Xiakou Town, 30 kilometers away. From growing rice and fish to raising ducks, he found a way to raise ducks and hatch duck seedlings to get rich.

Twenty years ago, Jiang Zongxiang and his wife, who were in their prime, took their mother and three young children, carrying a load of quilts, clothes, kerosene stoves and rice bowls and tableware, to rent a house in Lianfeng Village, Xiakou Town, 30 kilometers apart. Although husband and wife work a little harder in such a diversified economy, they can earn tens of thousands of yuan a year. Three years later, Jiang Zongxiang built four houses on Yingfu Road, Xiakou Town, along the 205 National Highway. Since then, he has rented four or five houses for three years, similar to a wandering life. When I own a house, I have more confidence and energy to start a business. After years of experience in raising ducks in rice fields, Jiang Zongxiang and his wife began to take the road of raising ducks professionally.

After the second year, he continued to increase the scale of breeding, raising more than 20,000 to 30,000 ducks every year, and the economic benefits were also increasing.

He said that tens of thousands of ducks are raised in a year, fresh ducks are sold, and thousands of laying ducks are kept. The couple often get up late at night to pick up duck eggs or divide the ducks into different grades to prepare for the sale of fresh ducks. When the market for duck eggs is good, dealers come to buy duck eggs before dawn; when the market for duck eggs is low, they need door-to-door delivery service. A year later, the couple were so busy that they hired two middle-aged and elderly people to breed ducks. He keeps more than 4000 laying ducks every year, making him one of the best among many duck farmers.

Four years ago, he increased investment and expanded the duck industry. behind the houses he bought before, he set up a hatchery of more than 500 square meters, becoming the first professional household in Jiangshan City to raise egg-laying ducks and hatch duck seedlings on a large scale. From then on, the couple became busier. Local incubation duck eggs are not enough, but also to Pucheng, Guangfeng area to buy duck eggs. In the season when duck seedlings are hatched every winter and spring, five or six people such as hatching technicians should be hired to help.
